Sacred Heart School (Bahrain)
The Sacred Heart School is located in Isa Town, the Kingdom of Bahrain. The school was established in 1953 and offers a British education. It is a co-educational school run by the Comboni Missionary Sisters from 1953 to 2003, and since then by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters, and offering an education to help prepare its students for the IGCSE examination - International General Certificate of Secondary Education - a London examinations curriculum, under the Pearson Edexcel board. The main language of instruction is English, while Arabic, French, Hindi or Filipino languages are offered as a mandatory second language option. Isa Town ( ar, مدينة عيسى, ''Madīnat ʿĪsā'') is a middle class town located in Bahrain, in the north central part of the country. Etymology The name ''Isa'' refers to Isa ibn Salman Al Khalifah, the ruler of Bahrain from 1961 to 1999. History Isa Town largely comprises affluent newly constructed villas, and is home to many members of Bahrain's educated middle classes. In 2002's election it was one of the few areas of Bahrain not to be entirely represented by an Islamist or right wing MP, with Abdnabi Salman of the formerly communist Democratic Bloc winning the seat. Comboni Missionary Sisters
The Comboni Missionary Sisters (S.M.C.; it, Suore Missionarie Comboniane) are a Catholic religious institute originally founded under the name ''Piae Madres Nigritiae'', translated as the "Pious Mothers of the Nigritia" or "The Devout Mothers of Africa". They are also known as the Missionary Sisters Pie Madre della Nigrizia or the Missionary Sisters of Verona, History Daniele Comboni was a missionary in Sudan briefly in 1858–1859. In 1864 he wrote a plan for the regeneration of Africa to focus the global Church's interest in the evangelization of the continent while emphasizing the African people themselves as agents of this evangelization. He established a male religious order, the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus, on 1 June 1867. IGCSE
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an English language based examination similar to GCSE and is recognised in the United Kingdom as being equivalent to the GCSE for the purposes of recognising prior attainment. Jacqueline Fernandez (born 11 August 1985) is a Sri Lankan actress and model. She has worked in Indian films, predominantly in Hindi, besides appearing in reality shows and music videos.
