Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District provides fire protection and emergency medical services to many unincorporated areas of Sacramento County, California as well as multiple contract cities. The fire district is responsible for the cities and communities of Antelope, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Elverta, Fair Oaks, Florin, North Highlands, Orangevale, Rancho Cordova, Rio Linda, Rosemont, Sacramento, Sloughhouse, Vineyard and McClellan Airfield. Rio Linda (Spanish: ''Río Linda'', meaning "Pretty River") is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California. It is part of the Sacramento metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 15,106, up from 10,466 at the time of the 2000 census. History The Rio Linda/Elverta community is located on part of the Rancho Del Paso Mexican land grant of 1844. In 1910, a Fruit Land Company of Minneapolis acquired of the Grant and in 1912 the area was subdivided. The 1994 Northridge earthquake was a moment 6.7 (), blind thrust earthquake that occurred on January 17, 1994, at 4:30:55 a.m. PST in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles. Sacramento Fire Department
The Sacramento Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the city of Sacramento, California. The department was first organized on February 5, 1850. It was not until March 30, 1872, when it finally became the first paid fire department west of the Mississippi River. Additionally, the city also provides contracted services for the Pacific Fruitridge Fire Protection District and Natomas Fire Protection District to provide emergency services. Roseville Fire Department
Roseville is the most populous city in Placer County, California, located within the Sacramento metropolitan area. As of 2019, the US Census Bureau estimated the city's population to be 141,500. A FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force (US&R Task Force) is a team of individuals specializing in urban search and rescue, disaster recovery, and emergency triage and medicine. The teams are deployed to emergency and disaster sites within six hours of notification. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) created the Task Force concept to provide support for large scale disasters in the United States. Sacramento McClellan Airport is a privately owned public-use airport located six miles (10 km) northeast of the central business district of Sacramento (a city in Sacramento County, California, United States).
