Sabyndykol ( kk, Сабындыкөл) is a lake in Bayanaul District, Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan. The lake lies by the town of Bayanaul, located on the northern shore. Sabyndykol falls within the perimeter of the Bayanaul National Park, a protected area. Geography Sabyndykol lies in a small tectonic depression of the Kazakh Uplands, just below the slopes of Bayanaul Range, to the south of the eastern part of the mountains. It is the largest of the lakes of the range area, but Tuzkol, Bayanaul District, Tuzkol, located to the southwest, is the largest of the district. The water of Sabyndykol is freshwater, fresh. There are no big rivers flowing into the lake, only intermittent streams, the largest of which has its mouth in the northwestern shore. The lake has a maximum depth of to in the deepest areas. Bayanaul National Park
Bayanaul National Park ( kz, Баянауыл ұлттық паркі, ''Baianauyl ūlttyq parkı''; russian: Баянаульский национальный парк) is a national park in Kazakhstan, located in southeastern Pavlodar Province, 140 kilometers from the industrially developed city of Ekibastuz, on the outskirts of the central Kazakh Uplands. It is included on the list of protected areas of Kazakhstan. The park was founded in 1985, making it Kazakhstan's first national park. It was created to preserve and restore the natural flora and fauna found in the extensive Bayanaul mountain range. The park's total area is 68,453 hectares. In the summer of 1993, the first All-Republic Camp (National Jamboree) of the Organization of the Scout Movement of Kazakhstan, named "Jasybay's Arrow", was held at the national camp, Jasybay, named for a Kazakh mythic hero, near Bayanaul National Park.
