Sabrina Sobhy, (born December 30, 1996 in Long Island) is a professional squash player who represents the United States. She reached a career high world ranking of World No. 15 in November 2022. Sobhy is class of 2019 at Harvard University having majored in psychology. She played #1 on the Harvard Crimson women's squash, varsity squash team for all 4 years. She was the co-captain of the team her senior year and led the team to an undefeated season. During her tenure on the Harvard Women's Varsity Squash Team, they won 4 Team National Titles all four years of her college career. Sabrina was also awarded the Ivy League Player of the Year Freshman and Senior years. In 2014, Sabrina made history as the youngest player to ever win both the U.S. Junior and Senior National Titles in the same year. The Official Women's Squash World Ranking is the official world ranking for women's squash. The ranking is to rate the performance level of female professional squash player. It is also a merit-based method used for determining entry and seeding in women's squash tournaments. The rankings are produced monthly. The current world number one is Nouran Gohar of Egypt, who replaced Raneem El Welily in July 2020. The WISPA, the WSA and the PSA has used a computerized system for determining the rankings since April 1984. PSA ranking policy Players competing in PSA tournaments earn ranking points according to how far they get in the draw. The points available depend on the prize money and the draw size. Amanda Sobhy (born June 29, 1993; Sea Cliff, New York) is an American squash player. A five-time national champion, she was the first U.S.-born player to reach the top five in the Professional Squash Association (PSA) world rankings. She reached a career-high world ranking of No. 3 in October 2021 after reaching the semi-finals of the 2021 British Open and the 2021 CIB Egyptian Open, and winning the 2021 Oracle Netsuite Open.
