Heartbeat Of The Earth
Inkubus Sukkubus are an English goth and pagan band, formed in 1989 by Candia Ridley, Tony McKormack and Adam Henderson, who have been described as one of the most enduringly popular underground Goth bands in the UK. They also have been described by Mick Mercer as a "zombie version of Fleetwood Mac" in his book ''Hex Files: The Goth Bible''. History Inkubus Sukkubus have released albums and toured the UK and internationally ever since their formation as Incubus Succubus in 1989. In 1995, the band adopted the name Inkubus Sukkubus, citing numerology as the reason for the change, and signed to Resurrection Records. The live line-up changed significantly, adopting the use of a drum machine and sequenced backing, with some additional support by a bodhrán, and Adam Henderson moving back to bass. In 1996, the band appeared live on UK national television on Channel 4's ''The Big Breakfast'', performing the track 'Heartbeat Of The Earth'. The band have played many of the major Europ ...

Statue Of Sabrina
''Sabrina'' ( ) is a 300-pound bronze statue owned by Amherst College. Since it was donated to the College in 1857, the statue has been the subject of numerous pranks and has changed hands between the college administration and various student groups many times. Traditionally, members of even-year and odd-year classes have battled for possession of the statue. History Early history In 1857, Amherst College accepted a gift from Joel Hayden, future Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts—a bronze neoclassical sculpture by William Calder Marshall of Sabrina listening to her invocation from John Milton's ''Comus'' (1634). The statue was originally installed on the town side of the Amherst campus, between North Dormitory and the Octagon. It was not long before the scantily-clad ''Sabrina'' attracted the attention of the then all-male Amherst students. Around 1860, an industrious Amherst student, in the first of many ''Sabrina''-inspired pranks, stole a set of undergarments fr ...

Sabrina (comics)
''Sabrina'' is a graphic novel by Nick Drnaso that was first published by Drawn & Quarterly in May 2018. Drnaso first came up with the idea for ''Sabrina'' in late 2014, though the graphic novel was not finished until the end of 2017. He found the project very difficult to work on and initially canceled it after being unsatisfied with the first draft. ''Sabrina'' received critical acclaim and is the first graphic novel to be longlisted for the Booker Prize. Plot summary A woman named Sabrina goes missing in Chicago, leaving behind her sister Sandra and her boyfriend Teddy. Lake Sabrina
Lake Sabrina is a lake created by damming the middle fork of Bishop Creek. It is located south-west of Bishop, California on California State Route 168, in the Inyo National Forest. It has a cafe as well as a dock. The dam was built in 1907–8 to supply a constant flow of water to the hydraulic power plants. The lake is part of the Bishop Creek system. Local residents pronounce the lake "Sah-bry-nuh;" however, the lake was originally named after Mrs. Sabrina (pronounced: suh-BREE-nuh) Hobbs, wife of C.M. Hobbs first General Manager of California Nevada Power Company which built the dam. The reason for the lake's name pronunciation changing over the years is unclear. The segment of the State Route 168 from Lake Sabrina east to the community of Aspendell is subject to closure to most vehicles during the winter months, usually not opening until mid- or late-April, due to snow removal. The winter road closure gate is actually located to the southwest of Aspendell. See also *Li ...

Sabrina Island (Azores)
Sabrina Island ( pt, Ilha Sabrina) was an islet formed during the months of June and July 1811 by a submarine volcanic eruption off the coast of Ponta da Ferraria, São Miguel Island, Azores. The first person to land on the island was Commander James Tillard, captain of the British warship , who hoisted the Union Jack on the island and claimed sovereignty for Great Britain. A diplomatic row with Portugal over the issue ensued, which the island's sinking back into the sea rendered moot. History Formation and discovery Between January and February 1811 a prolonged period of seismic activity affected the settlements to the extreme southeast of São Miguel, in particular in the parishes of Ginetes and Mosteiros. During these months, gases emitted from the ocean around Ponta da Ferraria, but by the end of February they abruptly ceased. New tremors returned in May and June, destroying many homes in Ginetes. Finally on 10 June 1811, in an area about from the original seismic zones an ...
