Sabir Rustamkhanli
Sabir Rustamkhanli ( Azerbaijani: Sabir Khudu oğlu Rüstəmxanlı; 20 May, 1946) is an Azerbaijani poet and philologist. He is the author of over 30 books in the Russian and Persian languages. Sabir Rustamkhanli is chairman of the Assembly of the World Congress of Azerbaijanis. Also he is leader of the Civic Solidarity Party and member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan The National Assembly ( az, Milli Məclis), also transliterated as Milli Mejlis, is the legislative branch of government in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijanis (; az, Azərbaycanlılar, ), Azeris ( az, Azərilər, ), or Azerbaijani Turks ( az, Azərbaycan Türkləri, ) are a Turkic people living mainly in northwestern Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Baku State University
Baku State University (BSU) ( az, Bakı Dövlət Universiteti (BDU)) is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Established in 1919 by the Parliament of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the university started with faculties of history and philology, physics and mathematics, and law and medicine, with an initial enrollment of 1094. The first rector of BSU was V.I.Razumovsky, a former professor of surgery at Kazan University. In 1930, the government ordered the university shut down in accordance with a reorganization of higher education, and the university was replaced with the Supreme Pedagogical Institute. However, in 1934 the university was reestablished again and continued to work through the difficult years of World War II experiencing a shortage of faculty members. By its 40th anniversary in 1959, the university already had 13 faculties. Yardimli District
Yardimli District ( az, Yardımlı rayonu) is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the south-east of the country and belongs to the Lankaran-Astara Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Jalilabad, Masally, Lerik, and the Ardabil Province of Iran. Its capital and largest city is Yardimli. As of 2020, the district had a population of 68,000. History The district was called the village Vargaduz, part of Lankaran Uyezd from 1920 to 1930. Since 1930, it has been renamed the Vargaduz district. It has been named Yardimli region since 1938 and the center of the district was Yardimli.
