Mehmed Sabahaddin (13 February 187930 June 1948) was an Ottoman sociologist and intellectual. Because of his threat to the ruling House of Osman (the Ottoman dynasty), of which he was a member, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries due to his political activity and push for democracy in the Empire, he was exiled. He was one of the founders of the short-lived Liberty Party. Although part of the ruling Ottoman dynasty through his mother, Sabahaddin was known as a Young Turk and was opposed to the absolute rule of the dynasty. Sabahattin Ali (25 February 1907 – 2 April 1948) was a Turkish novelist, short-story writer, poet, and journalist. Early life He was born in 1907 in Eğridere township (now Ardino in southern Bulgaria) of the Sanjak of Gümülcine (now Komotini in northern Greece), in the Ottoman Empire. His father was an Ottoman officer, Selahattin Ali, and his mother Husniye. His father's family was from the Black Sea region. He lived in Istanbul, Çanakkale and Edremit before he entered the Teacher School in Balıkesir. His elementary and middle school education was interrupted by WWI, contributing to his difficult childhood. Sabahattin Eyüboğlu (1908 – January 13, 1973) was a Turkish people, Turkish writer, essayist, translator and film producer. Biography Sabahatttin Eyüboğlu was born in 1908 on the Black Sea coast town of Akçaabat near Trabzon. His father Mehmet Rahmi was governor of Trabzon and was chosen by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as a member of parliament. Sabahattin graduated from the Trabzon Lyceum and was sent to France, in order to study French in Dijon, Lyon and Paris. Upon his return to Turkey, he was appointed as associate professor at the Istanbul University and assistant to Professor Spitzer and Auerbach. In 1939 the Minister of Education, Hasan Ali Yücel appointed him to the Ministry of Education, where he worked till 1947. Sabahudin Kurt (18 July 1935 – 30 March 2018) was a Bosnian folk and pop singer. Kurt represented Yugoslavia in Copenhagen in the Eurovision Song Contest 1964 with the entry "Život je sklopio krug" ( en, "Life Has Come Full Circle"). He finished in thirteenth place, scoring 0 points. Kurt recorded his first song, "Dim u tvojim očima" ("Smoke in Your Eyes") in 1954. Personal life Kurt was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, an only child. He had been married to Ismeta since 1966; the couple had two sons, Damir and Almir. Sabahudin Delalić (born 17 August 1972, in Sarajevo) is a sitting volleyball player from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the current captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team – ASOBiH. He has won four medals at Summer Paralympics. At the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, he won gold medal as well as at the 2012 London Games.
