Sababurg Südwest
The Sababurg, first called the Zappenburg, then Zapfenburg and today, after the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Sleeping Beauty Castle (german: Dornröschenschloss), is the ruin of a hill castle in the legendary Reinhardswald, a forested upland that runs through the North Hessian county of Kassel. Sababurg is also the name of a district of the town of Hofgeismar in which the castle is found. The hill castle appears in 1334 as the ''Zappenburg'' to protect pilgrims to the nearby pilgrimage site of Gottsbüren. In 1490, the hunting lodge of ''Zapfenburg'' grew out of the medieval castle site. After 1957 the site was restored and since 1959 it has housed an hotel. Together with the Trendelburg and Krukenburg the present ruins belong to the three best known castles in the Reinhardswald region, although the latter is just outside this forest. Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald
The Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald is an unincorporated area in the Kassel district in the state of Hesse in Germany. It encompasses an area of and is thus the second largest village in Hesse by area after the city of Frankfurt. The Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald consists of nearly the whole area of the Reinhardswald. It is administered by the leader of the local forest authority, seated in nearby Reinhardshagen, who is instated by the district and whose duties include taking in taxes, garbage disposal and maintaining the civil registry. Unparished Area
In England, an unparished area is an area that is not covered by a civil parish (the lowest level of local government, not to be confused with an ecclesiastical parish). Most urbanised districts of England are either entirely or partly unparished. Many towns and some cities in otherwise rural districts are also unparished areas and therefore no longer have a town council or city council, and are instead directly managed by a higher local authority such as a district or county council. Until the mid-nineteenth century there had been many areas that did not belong to any parish, known as extra-parochial areas. Acts of Parliament between 1858 and 1868 sought to abolish such areas, converting them into parishes or absorbing them into neighbouring parishes. ''Enchanted Forest'' is a board game designed by Alex Randolph and Michel Matschoss that requires players to remember the locations of fairytale treasures. The first edition of the game was published by Ravensburger in Germany in 1981 under the original name ''Sagaland''. Gameplay Before gameplay commences, the scene is set by a king wanting to find an heir to the throne, as in his old age he has borne no children. Through the years, he has heard about the magical and mythical treasures that lie hidden in the Enchanted Forest below his large castle.
