''Saathiya'' (English: ''Companion'') is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Mani Ratnam and Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film stars Rani Mukerji and Vivek Oberoi, with Shah Rukh Khan and Tabu appearing in special appearances. The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman and the lyrics are penned by Gulzar. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Alaipayuthey'' whose climax was reported to be inspired by the 1998 film ''Sliding Doors'' and which was also directed by Mani Ratnam with music composed by Rahman as well. ''Box Office India'' declared the film a ''Hit''. Additionally, the film won 6 Filmfare Awards. Plot Aditya Sehgal and his friends are searching for Aditya's wife Suhani Sehgal. ''Saath Nibhaana Saathiya'' () is an Indian Hindi-language soap opera produced by Rashmi Sharma under Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. It premiered on 3 May 2010 on Star Plus and became one of the most popular and longest running television series. The series starred Giaa Manek, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rucha Hasabnis, Rupal Patel, Mohammad Nazim, Vishal Singh, Loveleen Kaur Sasan, Tanya Sharma, Sonam Lamba, Amar Upadhyay, Kunal Singh and Rohit Suchanti. This series revolved around the Modi family and explored morals and values of a typical Gujarati joint family, when cousins Gopi and Rashi marry Modi sons, Ahem and Jigar; after leaps, it also focused simultaneously on the second generation. ''Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2'' ( 2) is an Indian Hindi-language television series produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. It aired from 19 October 2020 to 16 July 2022 on Star Plus. Initially based on Star Jalsha's Bengali series '' Ke Apon Ke Por'', it is a sequel to the long-running series ''Saath Nibhaana Saathiya''. It starred Sneha Jain, Gautam Vig and Harsh Nagar.
