Saamida
''Saamida'' is a 2008 Tamil film directed by V. C. Vadivudaiyan and starring Pondy Ravi, Dhanushya. The film is scored by Indhrajith and was released on 6 December 2008. Plot The film begins with a girl from Ramanathapuram who has been sold into prostitution. The unnamed girl is suffering from hunger and finds it difficult to make ends meet. A former regular client becomes her husband - a man who was shaped by awful experiences into a feared gang leader. The terrible things that the girl witnesses at the hands of her husband drives her to become a female gang leader, with the help of a loyal orphan. Everyone was afraid when they went to see Kasi. They were involved in illegal alcohol, drugs and killing any enemies who are against them by Saami. V. C. Vadivudaiyan is an Indian people, Indian film director and screenwriter. He has worked on Tamil language, Tamil films. Career In 2000, Vadivudaiyan planned to make ''Puththan,'' starring Arun Vijay, Arunkumar and Divya Unni. The film was shelved before production ended. Vadivudaiyan eventually made his directorial debut with the film ''Saamida'' (2008), after working as an assistant to director Shaji Kailas. The film was entirely shot at Kasi. Pondy Ravi is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil-language films. He has acted in over sixty films. Career Pondy Ravi worked as an assistant cameraman for ''Minsara Kanavu'' (1997). He has acted as a police officer in several films including ''Alaipayuthey'' (2000), ''Minnale'' (2001) and ''Kaakha Kaakha'' (2003). He went to an audition for Ang Lee's ''Life of Pi'' (2013). Ramanathapuram (), also known as Ramnad, is a town and a municipality in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
