SX (band)
SX is a Belgian aetheric indie pop group from Kortrijk, Belgium. The band was founded in the spring of 2009 by Benjamin Desmet (keyboard, guitar) and Stefanie Callebaut (voice, keyboard). With Mister Lion the group won the Road2Fame-challenge of TV channel TMF in June 2009. Three months later, the group won the public's prize during the final of talent show Westtalent. Kortrijk ( , ; vls, Kortryk or ''Kortrik''; french: Courtrai ; la, Cortoriacum), sometimes known in English as Courtrai or Courtray ( ), is a Belgian City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities in Belgium, municipality in the Flemish Region, Flemish Provinces of Belgium, province of West Flanders. Clay Records
Clay Records was an independent record label founded by Mike Stone in 1980 and based in a record shop in Stoke-on-Trent, England. History Clay's first signing was local Stoke punk band Discharge who released the ''Realities of War'' single in April 1980. Stone distributed the single out of the boot of his car but it still made it into the top 10 of the indie chart in the music magazine Sounds. The label went on to sign artists including Play Dead, The Lurkers, Demon and G.B.H. Members of Clay went on to form Jungle Records in 1984. In 1996, the label's distributor, Pinnacle Entertainment, went under, resulting in Mike Stone subsequently lost £25,000. This led him to close the label in 1996. In January 2000, the label's assets were sold off to Trojan Records, who was subsequently acquired by Sanctuary Records Group in 2001. ''Het Nieuwsblad'' (; en, The Newspaper) is a Flemish newspaper that mainly focusses on "a broad view" regarding politics, culture, economics, lifestyle, society and sports. History and profile In 1929, ''Het Nieuwsblad'' was published by ''De Standaard'' for the first time. In 1939, the sports paper ''Sportwereld'' (established in 1912) was purchased by De Standaard and turned into a daily supplement to their two main newspapers, "De Standaard" and "Het Nieuwsblad". In 1957, three other newspapers were purchased by ''De Standaard'' and initially kept in circulation. TMF was a Belgian pay television channel whose programming was centred towards pop music videoclips. TMF was operated by Viacom International Media Networks. Originally an abbreviation of "The Music Factory", the channel was launched as TMF Vlaanderen in 1998, mainly due to the success of the eponymous Dutch music television channel. The station began broadcasting on October 3, 1998. The recordings of TMF Flanders occurred mainly in the Eurocam Media Center in Lint, there was until mid-2013 also established the parent company. History TMF Flanders was launched on October 3, 1998. On October 5, 2015, Viacom announced that TMF will stop broadcasting om November 1, 2015.
