SUSS School Of Law
The Singapore University of Social Sciences School of Law (SUSS School of Law) is an autonomous law school of Singapore University of Social Sciences. It was established in 2017, as Singapore's third law school after the NUS Faculty of Law and the SMU School of Law. The school was established to address the shortage of practitioners in family law, family and criminal law. In 2018, it was reported that of the 60 pioneer SUSS law students, seven have either dropped out or deferred their studies setting the attrition rate at 10%. The school offers a 4.5 to 6 years undergraduate Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree programme, and a 4 to 6 years graduate Juris Doctor (JD) programme. The school also offers the Master of Taxation (MTax) programme in collaboration with the Tax Academy of Singapore (TA). Leslie Chew
Leslie Chew Kwee Hoe Pingat Bakti Masyarakat, PBM is a Singaporean legal academic and law professor. He is the founding Dean of the SUSS School of Law, School of Law, Singapore University of Social Sciences, Singapore's third law school. Chew is also a Senior Consultant with RHTLaw Asia LLP. See Kee Oon
See Kee Oon (born 1966) is a Singaporean judge who is currently a Judge of the Supreme Court and was the Presiding Judge of the State Courts. Education See received a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1991 and obtained a Master of Laws (first class honours) from the University of Cambridge in 1994. He also holds a Master of Public Management from the NUS's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Subhas Anandan (25 December 1947 – 7 January 2015) was an Indian-Singaporean notable criminal lawyer. Heng Swee Keat (; born 15 April 1961) is a Singaporean politician, former police officer and civil servant who has been serving as Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore since 2019 and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies since 2020 and also chairman of the People's Action Party since 2022. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Bedok division of East Coast GRC since 2020. Senior Counsel
The title of Senior Counsel or State Counsel (post-nominal letters: SC) is given to a senior lawyer in some countries that were formerly part of the British Empire. "Senior Counsel" is used in current or former Commonwealth countries or jurisdictions that have chosen to change the title "King's Counsel" to a name without monarchical connotations, usually related to the British monarch that is no longer head of state, such that reference to the King is no longer appropriate.
