STOLports In Norway
The Norwegian STOLport network (in Norwegian ''kortbanenettet i Noreg'' (Nynorsk) or ''kortbanenettet i Norge'' (Bokmål)) is a network of STOLports, meaning that they are airports with short runways. The standard length of these runways is 800 m, compared to around 2500 m for a normal airport with 6-seat wide jetliners. In addition to shorter length, these airports are also narrower, with a standard width of 30 m compared to that of 60 m, respectively. They can only be used with small propeller aircraft. As of 2020, 26 of these airports are in use and 4 have been closed. The Norwegian STOLport network is a result of political decisions in the 1960s and start of the 1970s. Mosjøen (; sma, Mussere) is a town in Vefsn Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Mosjøen is the oldest town in the Helgeland region, with only the town of Bodø being older within Nordland county. The town is also the administrative centre of Vefsn Municipality. The old village of Mosjøen was declared a ladested in 1875. It was also a town municipality () from 1875 until 1961 when it was merged into Vefsn, losing its status as a town (ladested). It is also a former garrison town and customs place. Brønnøysund Airport, Brønnøy
Brønnøysund () is a town and the administrative centre of Brønnøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is also a former municipality within Nordland county. The village of Brønnøysund originally was declared a ladested in 1923 which made it an independent municipality. After merging with Brønnøy in 1964, it lost its town status. Then in 2000, it once again received town status. The town lies along the coast and is often called "the coastal town in the middle of Norway." Berlevåg Airport
Berlevåg Airport ( no, Berlevåg lufthavn; ) is a regional airport serving Berlevåg Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The airport is situated northwest of the village of Berlevåg and is owned and operated by Avinor. The airport tower is operated remotely from Bodø. The airport has a runway aligned 06/24. Services are provided by Widerøe using Dash 8-100 aircraft to other communities in Finnmark. The airport served 5,921 passengers in the terminal (in 2016) and received the most subsidies per passenger of any Avinor airport. A further 8,948 landed and started at the airport without leaving the aircraft. The ATR 42 is a regional airliner produced by Franco-Italian manufacturer ATR, with final assembly in Toulouse, France. On 4 November 1981, the aircraft was launched with ATR, as a joint venture between French Aérospatiale (now Airbus) and Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.). The ATR 42-300 performed its maiden flight on 16 August 1984 and type certification was granted during September 1985.
