SRT Red Lines
The Red Line Mass Transit System Project is a commuter rail system serving the Bangkok Metropolitan Region in Thailand. The construction began in January 2009 and free public trial operation began on 2 August 2021, with full commercial service to begin in November 2021 when Bang Sue Grand Station opens. It is a part of the Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Lak Hok (Rangsit University) Station
Lak Hok (Rangsit University) Station () is a railway station in Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province. It serves the SRT Dark Red Line. History Lak Hok opened in 1898 as a railway station as part of Thailand's first railway between Bangkok and Ayutthaya. It was reduced to a railway halt during sometime in the 20th century and remained as a ground-level railway halt on the State Railway of Thailand's Northern and Northeastern Main Line which primarily served commuter trains. The halt officially closed on 15 September 2020 in preparation for the opening of the Dark Red Line. The new Lak Hok station was built in 2013 during the construction of the SRT Dark Red Line. The Bangkok Elevated Road and Train System (BERTS, th, โครงการระบบการขนส่งทางรถไฟยกระดับในกรุงเทพมหานคร), commonly known as the Hopewell Project (โครงการโฮปเวลล์) after main contractor Hopewell Holdings, was a failed project to build an elevated highway and rail line from central Bangkok to Don Mueang International Airport. Bang Sue Central Station
Bang Sue Grand Station ( th, สถานีกลางบางซื่อ, , ; ), also known by its ceremonial name Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station ( th, สถานีกลางกรุงเทพอภิวัฒน์, , ; ) in Chatuchak, Bangkok, is Thailand's new railway hub. It will replace the existing Bangkok railway station (Hua Lamphong) as the terminus for long-distance rail services from Bangkok with most services switching in January 2023. SRT Light Red Line
The SRT Light Red Line, or Nakhon Withi Line ( th, รถไฟชานเมือง นครวิถี) is part of the SRT Red Lines suburban railway system serving the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Region running for 15 km between Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and Taling Chan. The completed line will run east–west from Sala Ya in Phutthamonthon District of Nakhon Pathom Province to Hua Mak Railway Station in Bangkok. The segment from Taling Chan to Bang Son previously opened for limited, free trial service between 5 December 2012 and 13 January 2014 with only 12 services a day until all services were fully suspended due to the lack of rolling stock.
