The guilder ( nl, gulden; ISO 4217 code: ''SRG'') was the currency of Suriname until 2004, when it was replaced by the Surinamese dollar. It was divided into 100 cents. Until the 1940s, the plural in Dutch was ''cents'', with ''centen'' appearing on some early paper money, but after the 1940s the Dutch plural became ''cent''. History The Surinamese guilder was initially at par with the Dutch guilder. In 1940, following the occupation of the Netherlands, the currency (along with the Netherlands Antillean guilder) was pegged to the U.S. dollar at a rate of 1.88585 guilders = 1 dollar. The Surinamese guilder began to lose value from high inflation in the beginning of the 1980s, when a currency black market emerged. Radioisotope power systems (RPS) are an enabling technology for challenging solar system exploration missions by NASA to destinations where solar energy is weak or intermittent, or where environmental conditions such as dust can limit the ability of a mission to achieve its scientific or operational goals. RPS use the heat generated by the natural radioactive decay of plutonium-238 (Pu-238), in the form of plutonium dioxide. Jenderal Ahmad Yani International Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Internasional Jenderal Ahmad Yani) is an airport that serves the city of Semarang, in Central Java, Indonesia. The airport is named in honor of Ahmad Yani (1922–1965), who is a National Hero of Indonesia. It is one of the fastest-growing airports in the world by growth percentage. It follows on from the Spektr-R satellite telescope launched in 2011. Background The original idea for this X-ray observatory satellite orbiting above Earth's atmosphere, which filters X-rays, was first proposed in the 1980s by Rashid Sunyaev of the Space Research Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Twenty institutions from twelve countries came together to design a large observatory with five telescopes. However, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the mission was abandoned due to cost-cutting from the Russian space program Roscosmos. The project was resurrected in 2003 with a scaled-down design.
