SMART-S Mk2 ''(Signaal Multibeam Acquisition Radar for Tracking, S band Mk2)'' is a naval medium to long-range air and surface surveillance multibeam passive electronically scanned array 3D radar designed by Thales Nederland, formerly Hollandse Signaalapparaten (Signaal). While the original SMART-S radar was only produced in small numbers, SMART-S Mk2 is very successful. Only six years after its introduction, 30 systems were sold to navies all over the world. SMART-S Mk2 radar is equipped with ''transmitter/receiver (T/R) modulesmanufactured by Turkish defence company Aselsan. The radar transmitter/receiver (T/R) modules for the radar are purchased by Thales from Aselsan. Overview The system has two operating modes: medium range up to at 27 RPM and long range up to at 13.5 RPM. Ukrainian Corvette Hetman Ivan Mazepa
''Hetman Ivan Mazepa'' (F211) is an anti-submarine corvette of the Ukrainian Navy currently in the process of fitting out. Gowind-class Design
The Gowind design is a family of steel monohull frigates, corvettes and offshore patrol vessels developed since 2006 by France's Naval Group, formerly known as DCNS, to conduct missions in the littoral zone such as anti-submarine warfare (ASW). SMART-L
SMART-L (Signaal Multibeam Acquisition Radar for Tracking, L band) is a long-range naval search radar introduced in 2002 by Thales Nederland, formerly Hollandse Signaalapparaten (Signaal). The digital antenna array has 24 elements; all are used for reception, while 16 are used for creating virtual receiver beams through digital beamforming. The beams' vertical elevation, and compensation for ship movement, is done electronically. Horizontal training is done by mechanically rotating the entire array. As designed, SMART-L has a maximum range of against patrol aircraft, and against stealthy missiles. MILGEM Project
MILGEM project is a national warship program of the Republic of Turkey.
