Žďár nad Sázavou (; german: Saar) is a town in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. It is situated on a major rail link between Prague and Brno. Ice hockey is one of the most popular sports in the Czech Republic. History Ice hockey was established in the Czech Republic in 1908.
