SKCNS
Studentski Kulturni Centar Novi Sad (SKCNS) is an organisation working under the umbrella of the Executive Council of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is the organiser of several regular cultural events in the region, and is also a record label and publisher for local artists. Status SKCNS was founded by the Government of Vojvodina in 1993 and was re-registered in 2003 to comply with the new law on Vojvodina’s autonomy passed in 2002. It was the third Student Cultural Centre to be founded in Serbia after those in Belgrade and Niš. The Government of Vojvodina mandated SKCNS to support education in the region through the promotion of local culture. SKCNS is financed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Ritam Nereda
Ritam Nereda (Serbian Cyrillic: Ритам Нереда; trans. ''Rhythm of Disorder'') is a Serbian and Yugoslav oi!/ punk rock band from Novi Sad. History 1980s The band was formed in 1986, by Boban Petronić (bass guitar, vocals), who previously worked with Vrisak Generacije, Fritz (guitar), and Pavke ( drums), and having intensively rehearsed, they recorded their first demo recording, the song "Za Novi Sad" ("For Novi Sad"), the following year, at Pavke's Studio M. Due to the audience positive reactions to the recordings, the band, in an altered lineup, which featured Petronić (vocals), Četa (bass guitar), and P.J. (drums), and Slobodan Fekete "Barbun" (guitar), started performing, mainly in clubs. Aleksandar Zograf
Saša Rakezić (born 1963 in Pančevo, Serbia), better known by his pen name Aleksandar Zograf, is a Serbian cartoonist. His works focus mostly on life in the former Yugoslavia, such as ''Life Under Sanctions'', ''Psychonaut'', ''Dream Watcher'' and ''Bulletins from Serbia''. Career Zograf's works started being published outside Serbia in the early 1990s, appearing first in American comics anthologies such as '' Weirdo'' and '' Zero Zero'', and Seattle's Fantagraphics Books. British publisher Slab-O-Concrete also published a number of his books, and his works were translated and published in several European magazines. Atheist Rap is a Serbian punk rock band from Novi Sad, formed in 1989, which has released six studio albums, one compilation album and one live DVD. Their music is often characterized as "fun punk" due to its cheerful music and vocals. Their lyrics are usually critical of society and politics and are often humorous accounts of everyday events. The Adicts
The Adicts are a British punk rock band from Ipswich, Suffolk, England. One of the most popular punk rock bands in the 1980s, they were often in the indie charts during that decade. The Adicts originated as The Afterbirth in late 1975 but never had any music or played any shows. They later became The Pinz. They soon changed their name to the Adicts and became known for their distinctive '' Clockwork Orange'' "droog" image. Talco (band)
Talco is an Italian ska punk band and alternative band from Marghera, Venice. Musically the group combines the horns and rhythms of ska-punk with Italian folk music. Their lyrics reflect the band's support for left-wing politics and often include anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, and anti-imperialist themes. Musical influences include The Clash, Ska-P, Modena City Ramblers and especially Mano Negra, often describing their sound as "patchanka" after Mano Negra's first album. A jinx (also jynx), in popular superstition and folklore, is a curse or the attribute of attracting bad or negative luck. Goblini ( sr-Cyrl, Гоблини; trans. ''The Goblins'') are a Serbian punk rock band from Šabac. History Formation, rise to prominence (1992–1999) Guitarist Alen Jovanović and Vladislav Kokotović "Vlada", who lived in Karlovac, played in the band Lorelei until 1991 when they disbanded. Having played with numerous bands from Zagreb, the two moved to Šabac, and in March 1992, with the vocalist Branko Golubović, formed Goblini.
