The SIG P210 (Military of Switzerland, Swiss Army designation Pistole 49, the civilian model was known as SP47/8 prior to 1957) is a locked breech Semi-automatic self-loading pistol, self loading, semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured in Neuhausen am Rheinfall (Canton of Schaffhausen, Switzerland) by Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft, SIG from 1948 to 2006. It is of all-steel construction chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum and 7.65×21mm Parabellum. It was used from 1949 to 1975 by the Military of Switzerland, Swiss Army and police units. A semi-automatic pistol is a type of repeating single-chamber handgun ( pistol) that automatically cycles its action to insert the subsequent cartridge into the chamber (self-loading), but requires manual actuation of the trigger to actually discharge the following shot. The SIG Sauer P320 is a modular semi-automatic pistol made by SIG Sauer, Inc., SIG Sauer's American branch. It is a further development of the SIG Sauer P250, utilizing a striker-fired mechanism in lieu of a double action only hammer system. Charles Gabriel Petter (26 March 1880 – 7 July 1953) was a Swiss firearms designer. He is best known as the designer of the ''Pistolet automatique modèle 1935A'' (also known as the Modèle 1935A, French Model 1935A, or M1935A).
