SHAPE High School
SHAPE American High School is a US Department of Defense Dependents high school (DoDDS) for grades 9-12 located at Casteau, a town north of the city of Mons in Belgium. SHAPE American High School provides education for the dependents of military personnel and civilian employees at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), a NATO military installation. SHAPE High School adheres to a typical United States curricular and extracurricular program. The current SHAPE American High School was established in 1967 when SHAPE moved from Paris to Mons. The school separated into SHAPE Middle school and SHAPE High School in the 2014-2015 school year with the new completion of two new school buildings. The Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) are a network of schools, both primary and secondary, that serve the dependents of United States military and civilian United States Department of Defense (DoD) personnel in three areas of the world; Europe, Pacific, and Eastern United States and Caribbean areas. United States Contractor personnel supporting the Department of Defense overseas are eligible to send their dependents for a fee. American Football

Odyssey of the Mind, abbreviated OM or OotM, is a creative problem-solving program involving students from kindergarten through college. Team members work together at length to solve a predefined long-term problem and present their solution to the problem at a competition. Mathcounts, stylized as MATHCOUNTS, is a nationwide middle school mathematics competition held in various places in the United States. Its current lead sponsors are Raytheon Technologies and the U.S. Department of Defense STEM. Topics covered include geometry, counting, probability, number theory, and algebra. History Mathcounts was started in 1983 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and CNA Insurance to increase middle school interest in mathematics. The first national-level competition was held in 1984. The competition spread quickly in middle schools, and today it is the best-known middle school mathematics competition.
