The Kristianstad Ladies Open is a professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tournament is played at Kristianstad Golf Club in Åhus, southern Sweden. It was first played in 1986, before being cancelled in 1987. Ã…hus
Åhus () is the second largest locality in Kristianstad Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 9,840 inhabitants in 2015, but the number triples during the summer due to tourists who come seeking the beaches and nature of the Helgeå and Hanöbukten area. Åhus is also famous for hosting one of the largest beach handball tournaments in the world with approximately 20,000 participants. In 2011, in the village of Rinkaby near Åhus, the World Scout Meeting also known as the Jamboree was held. History Åhus history dates back to the late Iron Age/Vendel period, when a significant trading post was established some distance upstream of modern society. In the 11th century, a castle was built outside the city following the continental model. The construction of the castle was long attributed to the Archbishop of Lund, Eskil, but findings of charcoal in an archaeological survey in 2010 suggest that it may be older than that. 2021 Ladies European Tour
The 2021 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The season was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with many tournaments either being postponed or cancelled. Among the cancellations was the Australian Swing, the tour's season opening. Schedule The table below shows the 2021 schedule. The season featured a month-long European Swing of the LPGA Tour, starting with the Evian Championship in late July. It also saw the introduction of the Aramco Team Series, four tournaments carrying a $1 million total prize fund each held in London, Sotogrande and New York, concluding in Saudi Arabia in November. 2013 LET Access Series
The 2013 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through November 2013 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Emily Kristine Pedersen (born 7 March 1996) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour. She had a successful amateur career winning the 2013 International European Ladies Amateur Championship and the 2014 British Ladies Amateur Golf Championship. Turning professional in early 2015 she had a successful first season, finishing runner-up in the Deloitte Ladies Open and the Lacoste Ladies Open de France before winning the Hero Women's Indian Open. Isabella Ramsay (born 12 July 1987) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. Career Ramsay turned professional in 2006 and joined the Swedish Golf Tour (SGT) in 2007. Sarah Nilsson (born 24 July 1997) is a Swedish professional golfer. She won the Swedish Golf Tour Order of Merit in 2017 was a Ladies European Tour (LET) rookie in 2018. Michaela Finn (born 2 May 1996) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the Symetra Tour. Early life and amateur career Finn was born in Ängelholm in 1996 and started playing golf at 12.
