SC Bastia (women)
Sporting Club Bastia ( co, Sporting Club di Bastia, commonly referred to as SC Bastia or simply Bastia) is a French professional football club based in Bastia on the island of Corsica. The club plays in Ligue 2, the second tier of French football, having won the 2020–21 Championnat National. The club plays its home matches at the Stade Armand Cesari located within the city. SC Bastia is known for its strong association with Corsican nationalism. Bastia's main historical success include reaching the final of the 1977–78 edition of the UEFA Cup. The team was defeated by Dutch club PSV Eindhoven (0–0 at home, 0–3 away). Domestically, Bastia won the second division of French football in 1968 and 2012, and the Coupe de France in 1981. Coupe De France
The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF). It was first held in 1917 and is open to all amateur and professional football clubs in France, including clubs based in the overseas departments and territories. Between 1917 and 1919, the competition was called the Coupe Charles Simon, in tribute of Charles Simon, a French sportsman and the founder of the French Interfederal Committee (the ancestor of the French Football Federation), who died in 1915 while serving in World War I. The final is played at the Stade de France and the winner qualifies for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and a place in the Trophée des Champions match. Florian Thauvin
Florian Tristan Mariano Thauvin (born 26 January 1993) is a French professional footballer who plays as a winger for Liga MX club Tigres UANL. He made his professional debut for Grenoble in 2011, moving on to Bastia where he won the Ligue 2 title in his first season and being named Young Player of the Year a year later. He then moved to Marseille for €15 million, going on to make over 281 appearances and score 86 goals across two spells at the team, with a brief time at Newcastle United of the Premier League in between. Antar Yahia ( ar, عنتر يحيى; born 21 March 1982) is a retired professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Yahia is a former French youth international having earned caps for both the under-16 and under-18 youth teams for a brief period of time. He was the first footballer to profit from the 2004 change in FIFA eligibility rules as he had played as a French youth international. Jérôme René Marcel Rothen (born 31 March 1978) is a French former professional footballer who played as a winger. Rothen won 13 caps for the France national football team. Claude Papi (16 April 1949 – 28 January 1983) was a French football midfielder who is regarded as the all-time best player for the SC Bastia. Playing career Born in Porto-Vecchio, Corsica, Papi played his entire career for SC Bastia. He led Bastia to the 1978 UEFA Cup Final, scoring seven goals that season. Papi remains the all-time leading scorer for Bastia with 134 goals in 479 games. International career Papi was a member of the France national team in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Dragan Džajić ( sr-Cyrl, Драган Џајић; born 30 May 1946) is a Yugoslav former footballer from Serbia. Džajić is widely considered to be one of the best footballers to emerge from the former Yugoslavia, and one of the greatest left wingers of all time.
