SCW North Carolina Championship
The SCW North Carolina Championship was a professional wrestling regional championship in Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW). It remained active until November 20, 2004, when SCW was closed. The title was briefly revived in G.O.U.G.E. Wrestling, the successor of SCW, when Nicky Richards was presented the title by his manager Brad Stutts following his victory over The Goat at the GOUGE supercard "Fallout" on October 17, 2008. Count Grog, founder of both SCW and GOUGE, expressed the hope that the old North Carolina title would become a true regional title by being defended in the major "indy" promotions in North Carolina. Otto Schwanz
William Murray Happer (born October 4, 1972) is an American professional wrestler and trainer, best known by his ring name Otto Schwanz. He competed primarily in the Carolinas since the mid-2000s, and has wrestled for many promotions including CWF Mid-Atlantic, Cueball Carmichael's Independent Pro Wrestling Alliance, OMEGA, and Southern Championship Wrestling. Death & Destruction was a professional wrestling tag team composed of Frank "The Tank" Parker (March 21, 1970) and "Ruthless" Roger Anderson (September 20, 1967). HHG Corporation, doing business as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), was a professional wrestling promotion and media company that was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The promotion was founded in 1992 by Tod Gordon as National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) affiliate Eastern Championship Wrestling. Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW) was a professional wrestling promotion that held events in the Southeastern United States, especially in eastern and central North Carolina, from November 1994 to November 2004, when it was run by Greg Mosorjak. The promotion was based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with offices in Fuquay Varina and Lenoir, North Carolina. A house show or live event is a professional wrestling event produced by a major promotion that is not televised, though they can be recorded. Promotions use house shows mainly to cash in on the exposure that they and their wrestlers receive during televised events, as well as to test reactions to matches, wrestlers, and gimmicks that are being considered for the main televised programming and upcoming pay-per-views. House shows are entire events and not the same as dark matches—untelevised matches that occur as part of an event that was already being televised.
