SBS Sports
SBS Sports is a South Korean pay television sports channel that broadcasts major sports events including the Olympics, FIFA World Cup and professional sports in Korea such as baseball and volleyball. It also broadcasts the Ligue 1, boxing matches and ISU Figure skating matches. SBS Sports is currently run by CEO Kim Kee-sung. History In 1995, the channel was launched as Korea Sports TV. Five years later, in 2000, it was rebranded as SBS Sports Channel. In 2010, due to a partnership with ESPN, the channel was again rebranded as SBS ESPN. In 2014, the name is reduced to SBS Sports. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. The Coupe de France, formerly known as the Coupe Charles Simon, is the premier knockout cup competition in French football organized by the French Football Federation (FFF).
