Samsung Galaxy S9
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are Android-based smartphones unveiled, manufactured, released and marketed by Samsung Electronics as part of the Samsung Galaxy S series. The devices were revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 25 February 2018, as the successors to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ have nearly identical features to the S8 models, with the same display sizes and aspect ratio as their predecessors. One highly regarded change to distinguish between the models is the location of the fingerprint sensor. While the S8's is found beside the camera, the S9's is directly underneath it. Most notably, however, the S9 line is equipped with several camera improvements over the S8. The phone received generally favorable reviews, with critics mostly noting the enhanced camera and better positioned fingerprint scanner. Critics, however, still criticize the lack of improvement to other features compared to its predecessor. It is available in sev ...

Jane Buckley, writing for the Sporting Wheelies, describes the swimmers in this classification as having: "severe weakness in one leg only; Swimmers with very slight coordination problems; Swimmers with one limb loss. Unless there is an underlying medical condition usually all of these athletes will start out of the water." Swimming classifications are on a gradient, with one being the most seve ...

S 9 (Abydos)
S 9 (also Abydos-south S9) is the modern name given to a monumental ancient Egyptian tomb complex at Abydos in Egypt. The tomb is most likely royal and dates to the mid-13th Dynasty, during the late Middle Kingdom. Finds from the area of the tomb indicate that S9 suffered extensive, state-sanctioned stone and grave robbing during the Second Intermediate Period, only a few decades after its construction, as well as during the later Roman and Coptic periods. Although no direct evidence was found to determine the tomb owner, strong indirect evidence suggest that the neighbouring and slightly smaller tomb S10 belongs to pharaoh Sobekhotep IV (fl. c. 1725 BC). Consequently, S9 has been tentatively attributed by the Egyptologist Josef W. Wegner to Sobekhotep IV's predecessor and brother, Neferhotep I (fl. c. 1735 BC). According to Wegner, the tomb might originally have been capped by a pyramid. Description Location Tomb S9 is part of a royal necropolis dating back to the late Midd ...

S9 Fraction
The S9 fraction is the product of an organ tissue homogenate used in biological assays. The S9 fraction is most frequently used in assays that measure the metabolism of drugs and other xenobiotics. It is defined by the U.S. National Library of Medicine's "IUPAC Glossary of Terms Used in Toxicology" as the "Supernatant fraction obtained from an organ (usually liver) homogenate by centrifuging at 9000 g for 20 minutes in a suitable medium; this fraction contains cytosol and microsomes." The microsomes component of the S9 fraction contain cytochrome P450 isoforms (phase I metabolism) and other enzyme activities. The cytosolic portion contains the major part of the activities of transferases (phase II metabolism). The S9 fraction is easier to prepare than purified microsomes. Applications The S9 fraction has been used in conjunction with the Ames test to assess the mutagenic In genetics, a mutagen is a physical or chemical agent that permanently changes genetic material, usu ...

S Postcode Area
The S postcode area, also known as the Sheffield postcode area,Royal Mail, ''Address Management Guide'', (2004) is a group of postcode districts in England, which are subdivisions of eight post towns. These cover most of South Yorkshire (including Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Mexborough), parts of north Derbyshire (including Chesterfield, Dronfield and the Hope Valley) and north-west Nottinghamshire (including Worksop), plus a small part of West Yorkshire. History For 1857–1868 an ''S sector'' of the London postal district existed. Similarly, there were also S-prefixed postal districts in the compass-based system used in Glasgow: ''Glasgow S1, S2, S3 and S4'', which later became G41 to G44. Three postcode districts were split and separated into ten new postcode districts. These were: *S20, formed out of ''S19'' *S21, S25 and S26, formed out of ''S31'' *S32 to S36, formed out of ''S30''. The S64 district covering the Mexborough post town was originally earmarked for us ...
