S76 (Long Island Bus)
Suffolk County Transit operates a number of bus routes in Suffolk County, New York, United States; a few in the town of Huntington are operated by Huntington Area Rapid Transit. The Villages of Patchogue and Port Jefferson, also have had their own local jitney bus routes, although budget cuts have forced Port Jefferson to take its buses out of service. Some of them are descendants of streetcar lines (see List of streetcar lines on Long Island). Sunday service is operated on S1, S33, S40, S41, S45, S54, S58, S61, S66, S92, 3D and 10C routes. There is no service on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4); Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Exceptions: S92 and 10C WILL run on Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4) and Labor Day. Some routes are operated with Saturday schedules on Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day and Veterans Day. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) operates a number of bus routes in Staten Island, New York, United States. Some of them are the direct descendants of streetcar lines (see list of streetcar lines in Staten Island). Many routes run to the St. George Terminal, at St. George in northeastern Staten Island, where there are connections to the Staten Island Ferry. Brooks Seaplane Base
Brooks Seaplane Base is a city-owned, public-use seaplane base located in the city of Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. It is located on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Facilities and aircraft Brooks Seaplane Base has two landing areas designated 11/29 and 15/33, each measuring 15,000 x 2,000 feet (4,572 x 610 m). For the 12-month period ending September 27, 2006, the airport had 2,900 aircraft operations, an average of 242 per month: 59% general aviation and 41% air taxi. Accidents and Incidents On July 5, 2020, two aircraft, a Cessna 206 and a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver collided over Lake Coeur d'Alene killing all eight aboard both planes. The de Havilland floatplane had originated from Brooks Seaplane Base and was carrying 48-year old professional golfer Sean Fredrickson and his three children on a seaplane tour. Daihatsu Hijet (S76)
The is a cab over microvan and kei truck produced and sold by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu since 1960. Despite the similarities between the Hijet name and Toyota's naming scheme for its trucks and vans (HiAce and Hilux), the name "Hijet" has been in use for Daihatsu's kei trucks and microvans since 1960, over two decades before Toyota took control. "Hijet", when transliterated into Japanese, is very similar to "Midget", one of Daihatsu's other mini-trucks. According to Daihatsu, the name "Hijet" was created to imply that the vehicle offers higher performance than the Midget. Fiat S76 Record
The Fiat S76, later also known as Fiat 300 HP Record and nicknamed "The Beast of Turin", was a car built in 1910 by the Italian company Fiat specifically to beat the land speed record held in those years by the Blitzen Benz. Its 28,353 cc displacement engine delivered 290 hp. Only two examples were built.
