Samsung has a long history of designing and producing system-on-chips (SoCs) and has been manufacturing SoCs for its own devices as well as for sale to other manufacturers. Samsung GT-S5230, variously marketed as Tocco Lite, Avila, Samsung Star and Samsung Player One, is an entry-level touchscreen phone announced in March 2009 and released in May 2009 by Samsung. It was highly popular as a cheap touch phone, with Samsung reporting sales of 30 million by December 2010. It is available in black, white, and pink, and there are gold and silver special editions. The iPAQ is a discontinued line of Pocket PC devices produced from 2000 until 2010. It was first unveiled by Compaq in April 2000. iPAQ included Personal digital assistant, PDA-devices, smartphones and GPS navigation device, GPS-navigators. A substantial number of devices were outsourced from Taiwanese HTC Corporation, HTC corporation. Following Hewlett-Packard (HP)'s acquisition of Compaq, the product had been marketed by HP. The Z22 was one of the first of Palm, Inc.'s handhelds to be released under the new "Palm" brand, and the first to be released without the "Zire" moniker.
