Fokker S-11
The Fokker S-11 Instructor is a single-engine two-seater propeller aircraft designed and manufactured by the Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker. History One of the first activities undertaken by Fokker after World War II was the design of a new military aircraft for elementary flying training, the S-11 Instructor. An aircraft trader already placed orders for 100 of these aircraft in 1946, before construction had even begun. The first prototype flew at Schiphol on 18 December 1947. During testing in early 1948 it was found that some aerodynamic changes had to be made to improve the handling of the aircraft. Later that year demonstration flights for several air forces followed and eventually many S-11s were sold to the Royal Netherlands Air Force, Israeli Air Force, Italian Air Force, Brazilian Air Force, Paraguayan Air Force and Bolivian Air Force. Some 170 aircraft were license built in Italy as the Macchi M.416. A limited number of S-11 Instructors are still flying today. The Dut ...

Project S-11
''Project S-11'' is a game developed by Paragon 5 and published by Sunsoft for the Game Boy Color. It was released in North America on January 3, 2001. Gameplay The game is played in a manner similar to a shoot 'em up arcade game. Players control the S-11 fighter, which can freely move across the top-down oriented screen. Waves of enemies come from the top of screen (and occasionally the side) which the player must attempt to destroy to gain points. Players can collect various power-ups, which will make their weapons stronger or give them an extra life. Players will fight a mini boss half-way through a level, and a larger boss at the end of each level. Development ''Project S-11'' was developed by Paragon 5 and published by Sunsoft. The name was originally supposed to be a placeholder, with a contest being held to name it. Along with getting to name the game, the winner would appear in the game credits and received a cash prize of $200. Reception ''IGN'' praised the game for i ...

Nissan Silvia (S11)
The is the series of small sports cars produced by Nissan. Versions of the Silvia have been marketed as the 200SX or 240SX for export, with some export versions being sold under the Datsun brand. The name "Silvia" is derived from Sylvia, the name of the nymph who served Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt and chastity. The name also means "forest" in Latin. CSP311 In 1962, Albrecht Graf von Goertz has previously worked as a consultant for BMW, having created the BMW 507, and saw the potential of Japanese manufacturers. Yamaha had created the Technical Research Institute to develop their own sports car in 1959, and had built the YX30 sports car. As Yamaha had a working relationship with Nissan, work began on project A550X, but at some point the project fell apart and work was cancelled. Kazuo Kimura and Fumio Yoshida were both working on Project A550X and when the professional relationship between Nissan and Goertz ended in 1964, the work on the project contributed ...

Swamps And Tall-herb Fens In The British National Vegetation Classification System
This article gives an overview of the swamp and tall-herb fen communities in the British National Vegetation Classification system. Introduction The swamp and tall-herb fen communities of the NVC were described in Volume 4 of ''British Plant Communities'', first published in 1995, along with the aquatic communities. In total, 28 swamp and tall-herb fen communities have been identified. The swamp and tall-herb fen communities consist of three separate subgroups: * twenty-one swamp communities, characterised by being species-poor, each dominated by an often tall or bulky monocotyledon Monocotyledons (), commonly referred to as monocots, (Lilianae ''sensu'' Chase & Reveal) are grass and grass-like flowering plants (angiosperms), the seeds of which typically contain only one embryonic leaf, or cotyledon. They constitute one of ... species, with little or nothing in the way of an understorey: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S10, S11, S12, S13, S14, S15, S16, ...

40S Ribosomal Protein S11
40S ribosomal protein S11 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''RPS11'' gene. Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S17P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. The gene product of the E. coli ortholog (ribosomal protein S17) is thought to be involved in the recognition of termination codons. This gene is co-transcribed with a small nucleolar RNA gene, which is located in its third intron. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes Pseudogenes are nonfunctional segments of DNA that resemble functional genes. Most arise as superfluous copies of functional genes, either directly by DNA duplication or indirectly ...

S11 (protest)
S11 refers to a series of protests against meetings of the World Economic Forum on 11, 12 and 13 September 2000 in Melbourne, Australia, where approximately 10,000 people of many ages and a wide cross section of the community were involved. One of the groups involved in the protests called itself the S11 Alliance. This group was dominated by various socialist parties. The success of the protest led them to the creation of the M1 Alliance on 1 November 2000 in preparation for the next year's May Day events and the S26 Alliance, in solidarity with protest against the International Monetary Fund/World Bank meetings in Prague (26 September 2000). The other main organising network for the protest was the autonomist & anarchist s11 AWOL. The protest was part of the anti-globalisation movement, and closely modeled after the 1999 WTO protests in Seattle (known as the battle for Seattle.) This movement has been motivated by a number of concerns about globalization, including loss of nat ...

Swimmers must wear blackened goggles if they swim in this class. They will also require someone to tap them when they are approaching a wall." Getting classified Internationally, the classification is done by the International Blind Sports Association. In Australia, to be classified in this category, athletes contact the Australian Paralympic Committee or their state swimming governing body. In the United States, classification is handled by the United States Paralympic Committee on a national level. The classification test has three compo ...
