S11 (ZVV)
The S11 is a regional railway line of the S-Bahn Zürich on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund, Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network. The S11 is one of the network's lines connecting the Canton (Switzerland), cantons of Canton of Zürich, Zürich and Canton of Aargau, Aargau. Andelfingen, Switzerland
Andelfingen is a village and a municipality in the district of Andelfingen in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. On 1 January 2023 the former municipalities of Adlikon and Humlikon merged to form the municipality of Andelfingen. History Andelfingen is first mentioned in 1248 as ''Andelfingon''. Until 1970, it was known as ''Grossandelfingen''. Geography Andelfingen has an area of . Of this area, 47.4% is used for agricultural purposes, while 34.1% is forested. Lenzburg Railway Station
Lenzburg railway station (german: Bahnhof Lenzburg) is a railway station in the municipality of Lenzburg in the Swiss canton of Aargau. The station is located on the Heitersberg line, part of the Zurich to Olten main line, to the west of the junction with the Rupperswil–Immensee line and to the east of the junction with the Zofingen–Wettingen line. The Seetal line, which, despite being a standard gauge Swiss Federal Railways line, retains some characteristics of a roadside tramway, terminates at a platform across the street from the main station. Winterthur–Etzwilen Railway Line
The Winterthur–Etzwilen railway line is a railway line in Switzerland. It links Winterthur in the canton of Zurich with Etzwilen in the canton of Thurgau. The line is long, standard gauge, single track and electrified at supplied by overhead line. The line was opened on 17 July 1875 between Winterthur and Etzwilen by the Swiss National Railway (SNB) company. By 1878 the railway company was in bankruptcy, and the line was taken over by the Swiss Northeastern Railway (NOB). Since 1902 the line has been part of the network of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). The line was electrified between Oberwinterthur and Etzwilen in 1946, the section from Winterthur Hbf to Oberwinterthur having been electrified since 1928. The principal civil engineering structure on the line is the Thurbrücke Ossingen, a long and high five-span truss bridge over the River Thur. Stettbach Railway Station
Stettbach is a railway station on the north-eastern boundary of the Swiss city of Zürich. Although the station is located just within the city boundary, in the city's Schwamendingen district, it takes its name from the nearby village of Stettbach, which is in the adjacent municipality of Dübendorf. History Stettbach station, along with the Zürichberg Tunnel and the connecting railway on which the station is situated, were opened in 1990. Zürichberg Tunnel
The Zürichberg Tunnel (german: Zürichbergtunnel) is a railway tunnel in the Swiss city of Zürich. The tunnel runs from a junction with the Lake Zürich right bank line at Zürich Stadelhofen station, to Stettbach railway station. It passes under the Zürichberg range of hills that separates Zürich city centre from the Glattal region. The tunnel incorporated a set of underground platforms at Stettbach station, and carries twin standard gauge () tracks electrified at 15 kV AC 16,7 Hz using overhead line. The tunnel is principally used by suburban trains of the Zürich S-Bahn, but occasional use is also made by postal trains, freight trains, and long-distance passenger trains.
