S. Veenod
Veenod a/l Subramaniam (; born 31 March 1988 in Penang, Malaysia) is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Veenod started off as a striker in his early days with Penang before Selangor's former head coach Irfan Bakti tried him out as a defensive midfielder in 2012 Malaysia Cup. Veenod also was used as an attacking midfielder or as a right winger under Selangor's head coach P. Maniam. Club career Veenod started taking football seriously at age 17. Before turning to football, Veenod was one of the most feared marathon runners in Penang. He represented his school and district in the 3000 metres steeplechase and 5000 metres. Veenod was absorbed into ''Bintang Biru Football Academy'' at his youth. He also represented his state in the Under-19 Youth Cup before getting promoted to the Penang President Cup team. Brendan Gan Seng Ling (; born 3 June 1988) is a professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder and captain for Malaysia Super League club Selangor and the Malaysia national team. Club career Brendan began playing football for his local club, the Marton Hammers before signing for the Sutherland Sharks in 2000 when he was twelve years old, progressing through their youth grades to make his senior debut for the club in 2008. Nik Akif Syahiran bin Nik Mat (born 11 May 1999) is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Malaysia Super League club Penang, and the Malaysia national team. The Piala Belia ( en, Youth Cup) is a youth football competition for Under-19 players in Malaysia. The competition consists of youth squads from clubs competing in the Malaysian football league system and also youth squads from sports schools under the management of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The competition exists alongside the developmental competition for Under-21 players, the Piala Presiden.
