S.V. Tuna is a Surinamese football club from the capital city Paramaribo, currently playing in the Lidbondentoernooi, the 3rd tier of football in Suriname. History Founded on 1 November 1950 in Paramaribo, Suriname, S.V. Tuna played in the Hoofdklasse, the top flight of football in Suriname from the 1950s to the 1980s. Plein is an ''Ortsgemeinde'' – a municipality belonging to a '' Verbandsgemeinde'', a kind of collective municipality – in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. SVB Lidbondentoernooi
The SVB Derde Divisie ( en, Member Associations Tournament) is an annual football tournament organized by the Surinamese Football Association (SVB) since 2006. It is also known as the SURIBET Lidbondentoernooi due to sponsorship. The tournament is contested by the winners and runners-up of the districts leagues from the 20 regional member associations of the SVB. The winner and runner-up of the tournament can then qualify for the SVB Eerste Klasse, the 2nd tier of football in Suriname. In 2017, the competition was rebranded as the SVB Derde Divisie. The SVB Eerste Divisie is the highest football championship for clubs run by the Surinaamse Voetbal Bond. The Topklasse is at the top of the system of Surinamese football championships. The league currently comprises twelve teams and operates a system of promotion and relegation. Seasons run from November to June of the next year, with teams playing 30 games in the regular season. The league was known as the Hoofdklasse but became Topklasse beginning with the 2016–17 season, and then from the 2017–18 season forward, the Eerste Divisie. Armand Sahadewsing (7 July 1939 – 22 February 2019) was a former Surinamese football player and manager who has played for S.V. Transvaal in the Surinamese Hoofdklasse, and for AFC DWS in the Dutch Eredivisie. He also played for the Suriname national team and later managed the team for the country's 1982 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. Career Early career Sahadewsing began his football career on the Mr. Bronsplein in Paramaribo, Surinam at age 10 playing for KMD (Klein Maar Dapper), a club registered through the Bronsplein Sport Bond which was specifically for shorter people (Klein Maar Dapper is Dutch for "Small but courageous"). Edwien Reinier Schal (born October 4, 1943), known as Wiene Schal is a retired Surinamese footballer who started his career as a forward for SV Transvaal in the Hoofdklasse, and for the Suriname national team. A striker for the majority of his career, he was utilized more as defender towards the end of his career. He is considered one of the greatest footballers in the countries history, having captained SV Transvaal to two CONCACAF Champions Cups and five national titles, in what is considered the golden age of the club's history. Errol 'Emau' Rudolph Emanuelson (born April 16, 1953) is a retired Surinamese footballer who played as a forward for SV Robinhood in the Hoofdklasse, and for the Suriname national team. He also spent a loan spell in Belgium playing for Sint-Niklaas. Career Emanuelson began his career in Nieuw Nickerie, Suriname, in the youth ranks of Santos at age 14. In 1970, he moved to Paramaribo to play in the youth teams of Tuna with whom he won the youth championship. In 1975, he made the move to SV Robinhood where he played as a forward forming the attack of Robinhood together with Rinaldo Entingh and Roy George. In 1976, he made a name for himself in a friendly fixture against Dutch club Ajax while Robinhood were on a tour of the Netherlands. Andy Jozua Atmodimedjo (born March 16, 1967) is a Surinamese football manager and former player, who is currently the manager of Inter Moengotapoe. He spent most of his professional playing career with S.V. Robinhood, winning four Hoofdklasse titles. He had previously played for Producers in the Hoofdklasse before joining Robinhood in 1986. After retiring from playing, he went into management with Puwa Nani, followed by spells with S.V. Robinhood, WBC, Super Red Eagles, FCS Nacional, SV Boskamp, before returning to Puwa Nani in 2011. He has also managed the Suriname senior team and the under-21 team in the past.
