Rønde (or Roende) is a town on the southern part of the peninsula, Djursland in Denmark, Northern Europe, 23 kilometers north-east of the north end of Denmark's second largest city, Aarhus. It is in part a commuter town to Aarhus, with a motorway entering Aarhus from the north. Rønde is located between Aarhus, and Aarhus Airport with a 12 kilometer drive from Rønde to the airport. Hestehave Wood
Hestehave Wood (Horse Garden Wood) on southern Djursland in Denmark, Northern Europe, at the entrance to The Baltic Sea between Denmark and Sweden, is a recreational wood with a temperate coastal climate, owned by the Danish state. Hestehave is located close to the town Rønde, 21 miles north of the second largest city in Denmark, Aarhus. Hestehave Wood is part of Mols Bjerge National Park, with a southern and eastern coastline bordering the ruined Kalø Castle and the Slotsvig- and Følle Bugt- coves at the southern and eastern perimeter. Historically the wood has been part of the Kalø Estate, where the Danish Environmental Research Institute has its headquarters today. William Kvist
William Vitved Kvist (né Kvist Jørgensen; born 24 February 1985) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Danish club Copenhagen as well as for the Denmark national team. He played 43 matches and scored four goals for various national youth teams, and was an important player to the senior team. Club career Born in Rønde in Jutland, Kvist started his football career at his local club Thorsager Rønde IF at the age of five. Two years later he moved to Copenhagen where he started with KB; one of the two clubs behind F.C. Copenhagen. Djursland
Djursland () is a 44 km × 33 km hilly lowland peninsula in Denmark at the entrance to the Baltic Sea, between Denmark and Sweden in Northern Europe. Djursland protrudes into the Kattegat sea, as part of the larger peninsula of Jutland, which itself extends from the Central European continent. Djursland comprises the two municipalities of Norddjurs and Syddjurs. The only larger city on Djursland is Grenå, but both Randers and Aarhus are close-by. Mols Bjerge National Park or Nationalpark Mols Bjerge is a Danish national park in the area known as ''Mols Bjerge'' (Mols Hills, lit.: Mols Mountains) in Syddjurs Municipality, Central Jutland, inaugurated on 29 August 2009. The protected area, measures in size. The Mols Hills, reaching a height of , are centrally located in the park, and take up 2,500 ha. "More than half of all wild Danish plant species" can be found at Mols Bjerge. Kalø Castle
Kalø Castle ( da, Kalø Slot) is a ruined castle located in eastern Jutland, in Denmark, 20 km from the city of Aarhus within Mols Bjerge National Park. History The castle was constructed in 1313 by the Danish king Erik Menved (Erik VI). It was one of at least four similar strongholds in Jutland, constructed to counter the ongoing rebellions of the Jutlandic nobility and peasantry against the Crown. The other strongholds were Borgvold in Viborg, Bygholm in Horsens and Ulstrup, east of Struer. All were built by local peasants forced labour, with the goal of breaking their rebellious spirits. Kalø Slot was raised on the small island of Kalø, connected to the mainland by a 500 m long artificial embankment, rising 1,2 m above sea level.
