Ruxandra-Mihaela Cesereanu or Ruxandra-Mihaela Braga (born August 17, 1963) is a Romanian poet, essayist, short story writer, novelist, and literary critic. Also known as a journalist, academic, literary historian and film critic, Cesereanu holds a teaching position at the Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB), and is an editor for the magazine ''Steaua'' in Cluj-Napoca. The author of several proses and poetry volumes, Cesereanu became noted for her lyrical depictions of femininity and eroticism, many of which attracted critical acclaim in her native country. They are believed by several commentators to have been influenced by Surrealism and its Romanian successor, Onirism, and seen as examples of Postmodernism, while Cesereanu herself identified some of her writings with psychedelic experience and with the coined term ''delirionism''. Ruxandra Donose
Ruxandra Donose (born 2 September 1964, in Bucharest) is a Romanian operatic mezzo-soprano. Donose studied singing with Georgeta Stoleriu at the Ciprian Porumbescu Conservatory, where she graduated in 1989. In 1990 she was the runner up at the ARD International Music Competition. After this, she had her first engagement abroad, in Basel. In 1992 she became a member of the Vienna State Opera. From there, she developed a fast-paced international career, as an opera singer (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Opéra Bastille, Metropolitan Opera, Salzburg Festival etc.) and also as an interpreter for Lied and oratorio. Donose is considered a distinguished bel canto singer, but also one of the leading interpreters of the French and the Mozartian mezzo-soprano repertoire. Ruxandra Dragomir Ilie (born 24 October 1972) is a retired tennis player from Romania. She won four singles and five doubles titles on the WTA Tour during her career. The right-hander reached her highest individual WTA ranking on 25 August 1997, when she became the No. 15 of the world. Between 2009 and 2013 she was the president of Romanian Tennis Federation. Her best performance at a Grand Slam tournament came when she got to the quarterfinals of the 1997 French Open, defeating Sonya Jeyaseelan, Yayuk Basuki, Karina Habšudová and Nicole Arendt before losing to the eventual champion, Iva Majoli. Ruxandra Dumitrescu (born April 20, 1977) is a retired volleyball player born in Galați, Romania. She competed with the Romania women's national volleyball team at the 1994 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Brazil. She is a naturalized Greek citizen, and competed with the Greece women's national volleyball team from Athens 2004 Olympic Games until 2009. She is 186 cm tall. Dumitrescu played on club level with Dacia Pitesti 1994-1997. Ruxandra Sireteanu (19 September 1945 – 8 September 2008), also known after her marriage as Ruxandra Sireteanu-Constantinescu, was a Romanian biophysicist and neuroscientist who undertook pioneering research into the human visual system. Born in Romania, she initially studied at the University of Bucharest. She then undertook research in Pisa in Italy and Lausanne in Switzerland before moving to Germany, first joining the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich to work with Wolf Singer, and then the University of Ulm.
