The Russian Communist Youth League (RCYL; russian: Российский коммунистический союз молодёжи; РКСМ; ''Rossiyskiy kommunisticheskiy soyuz molodozhi'', ''RKSM'') is an all-Russian youth public organization formed in 1993 to resume the activities of the Komsomol in Russia. Prehistory The prehistory of the RCYL in post-Soviet Russia was the committee "For the revival of the Komsomol", created at the XXII Congress of the Komsomol, which decided to dissolve the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. The 1993 Russian constitutional crisis, also known as the 1993 October Coup, Black October, the Shooting of the White House or Ukaz 1400, was a political stand-off and a constitutional crisis between the Russian president Boris Yeltsin and the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation that was resolved by Yeltsin using military force. The relations between the president and the parliament had been deteriorating for some time. The Socialist Patriotic Youth League is a North Korean youth organization. It is the main youth organization in North Korea.
