Russell Suzuki
Russell A. Suzuki is an American attorney and was the 15th Attorney General of Hawaii. He was nominated on March 14, 2018 by Governor David Ige, and was confirmed by the Hawaii Senate on March 29, 2018. He served until January 2019, when Governor Ige appointed Clare E. Connors as his successor. Education Suzuki attended Leilehua High School. He subsequently obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Hawaii and also obtained a J.D. from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Career Suzuki was admitted to the Hawaii State bar in 1977. He initially practiced criminal defense law, family law, business law, and military law at the law offices of Yoshiro Nakamura. The Attorney General of Hawaii ( haw, Loio Kuhina) is the chief legal officer and chief law enforcement officer of Hawaii. In present-day statehood within the United States, the Attorney General is appointed by the elected governor with the approval of the state senate and is responsible for a state department charged with advising the various other departments and agencies of state government. Leilehua High School
Leilehua High School is a public, co-educational, college preparatory high school in Wahiawa, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. It is part of the Hawaii State Department of Education, nationally recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education, and fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The school was first established in 1924, when Hawaii was still a territory and located close to present day Schofield Barracks. The lieutenant governor of Hawaii ( haw, Hope kiaʻāina o Hawaiʻi) is the assistant chief executive of the U.S. state of Hawaii and its various agencies and departments, as provided in the Article V, Sections 2 though 6 of the Constitution of Hawaii. Elected by popular suffrage of residents of the state on the same ticket as the governor of Hawaii, the officeholder is concurrently the secretary of State of Hawaii. Douglas S. Chin (born July 21, 1966) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 13th Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii from February to December 2018. A member of the Democratic Party, Chin previously was the 14th Attorney General of Hawaii. On December 18, 2017, Chin announced his intent to run for the U.S. House of Representatives. In February 2018, Chin became Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii after the resignation of Shan Tsutsui and after two others in the line of succession declined the office. David Ige
David Yutaka Ige (; born January 15, 1957) is an American politician and engineer who served as the eighth governor of Hawaii from 2014 to 2022. A Democrat, he served in the Hawaii State Senate from 1995 to 2014 and the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1985 to 1995. In the 2014 gubernatorial election, he defeated incumbent Governor Neil Abercrombie in the Democratic primary, and won the general election over Republican nominee Duke Aiona. Ige was reelected in 2018, defeating Republican nominee Andria Tupola. Early life and college Ige was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii, the fifth of six sons of Tokio and Tsurue Ige, who are of Japanese Okinawan descent.
