Rushup Edge (album)
''Rushup Edge'' is the first and only LP release by The Tuss. Although credited to Karen Tregaskin, it was written by Richard D. James. The release is named after a mountain ridge in Derbyshire. Originally released in 2007, the album was re-released with extra tracks on James' Bleep Store on 20 July 2017. It was his last released project until the 2014 album under the Aphex Twin alias, Syro. Acid techno, sometimes known generally as "acid", is a genre of techno that was derived from acid house and developed in Europe in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Rephlex Records
Rephlex Records was a record label launched in 1991 in Cornwall by electronic musician Richard D. James (aka Aphex Twin) and Grant Wilson-Claridge. The label coined the term ''braindance'' to describe the output of Aphex Twin and fellow artists. History In 1989, Grant Wilson-Claridge met Richard D. James (a.k.a. Aphex Twin) DJing at The Bowgie, a club located just along the coast from Newquay, Cornwall. According to Wilson-Claridge, back in 1989, "the Bowgie was the best club ever...this was before Newquay turned into the Cornish Ibiza" and it was very difficult to hear new and interesting music. Rushup Edge
Rushup Edge is a ridge in the Derbyshire Peak District of England. The ridge's highest point is Lord's Seat at , while Mam Tor lies beyond its eastern end, at the western end of the Great Ridge. Lord's Seat is the site of a round barrow. Geology Rushup Edge is part of the ridge which extends east to Mam Tor, Hollins Cross, Back Tor and Lose Hill, separating the Edale and Hope valleys. The ridge is formed of Namurian (c320mya) age Mam Tor Beds (alternating sandstone and siltstone) and landslides on the north have formed colluvium. Protest In October 2014, mountain bikers, walkers, horse riders, climbers and conservationists held a protest against Derbyshire County Council maintenance work on the byway that runs along Rushup Edge.
