Ruido Fest
Ruido Fest is an annual multi-day Latin American music festival in Chicago, Illinois held every July in Addams/Medill Park in Chicago's Near West Side neighborhood. Ruido Fest was first held July 10–12, 2015. The festival features "Latin post punk, electronic, hip-hop, rock, psychedelia, tropicalia, reggae and punk acts from all over the American continent and world". It is Chicago's only 3-day Latin alternative music festival. Ruido Fest 2019 will be the festival's fifth year. ''Ruido'' is the Spanish word for "noise". Founding Ruido Fest was founded in 2015 by a team of partners that include Chicago production company Metronome Chicago, alternative music festival Riot Fest Presents, Star Events, and Latin alternative music promoter Rock Sin Anestesia. El Guincho
Pablo Díaz-Reixa (born November 17, 1983), professionally known as el Guincho, is a Spanish musician, singer, and record producer. Díaz-Reixa rose to prominence with his 2008 album, ''Alegranza''. His musical style relies heavily on the use of sampling and incorporates elements of Afrobeat, dub, tropicália and rock and roll. Díaz-Reixa has described his style of production as " space-age exotica". He primarily produces music with a Roland SP-404. Javiera Alejandra Mena Carrasco (born June 3, 1983) is a Chilean indie electropop musician living in Lavapiés, Madrid. She started her musical career in the Chilean indie music scene in 2001, and achieved wider success after the release of her first studio album in 2006. Her musical style tends to be synthesized electronic sound, although prior to her official debut she made acoustic-oriented songs accompanied solely by guitar. Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas is an American soul/ pop band from Detroit, Michigan, United States, formed in 2010 and consists of lead singer Jessica Hernandez and her band The Deltas. Desorden Público is a Grammy nominated ska band founded in 1985 in Caracas, Venezuela. The band's music mixes ska, latin rock, reggae and traditional Latin music styles. The group's lyrics are known for commenting on Venezuela's and Latin America's politics and society. Duncan Dhu
Duncan Dhu is a Spanish group created in San Sebastián, Spain in 1984. Its original members were Mikel Erentxun (former singer in "Aristogatos"), Diego Vasallo and Juan Ramón Viles (former members of "Los Dalton"). Nowadays, it mainly consists of Mikel and Diego. The group's style was based on an acoustic and simple pop-rock with a touch of rockabilly in great contrast with the more radical rock played in the area at the time.
