Ruben Habito
Rubén L. F. Hábito (born c. 1947) is a Filipino Zen ''rōshi'' of the Sanbō Kyōdan lineage. Biography Hábito started out as a Jesuit priest doing missionary work in Japan. There, he began practising under Yamada Kōun, a Zen ''rōshi'' who taught Christian students, which was unusual for the time. In 1988, Hábito received dharma transmission from Yamada. Ruben subsequently left the Jesuit order in 1989, and in 1991 founded the Maria Kannon Zen Center, a lay organization in Dallas, Texas. Hábito has been a faculty member of the Perkins School of Theology at the Southern Methodist University since 1989. He is married and has two sons. Sanbo Kyodan Buddhists
'' is a stand used in the Shinto rituals of shinto to place shinsen. In ancient times, it was also used to present objects to a noble person. The same type of stand is also used in temples, but in this case it is sometimes written sampo, which stands for Three Treasures (Sangha, Dharma, Buddha). Structure Usually made of Cypress or other wood, it has a rectangular base (body) attached to a tray called an oshiki. It is called "sanpō" (three-way) because there are holes called kurikata in three directions on the base. In the canon law of the Catholic Church, the loss of clerical state (commonly referred to as laicization, dismissal, defrocking, and degradation) is the removal of a bishop, priest, or deacon from the status of being a member of the clergy. The term ''defrocking'' originated in the ritual removal of vestments as a penalty against clergy that was eventually codified within the ''Roman Pontifical''. Contemporary Catholic canon law does not contain such a ritual, leading some to consider it an inaccurate description of laicization.
