Royal-T
Mark Taylor, professionally known as Royal-T, is a British UK garage, bassline and grime DJ and music producer from Southampton. He is signed to Butterz and Rinse Recordings. Taylor was spotted in 2010 by Butterz label founders Elijah and Skilliam via the website Grime Forum. He later caught the attention of Rinse FM and started a regular 2-hour show on the station. In 2012, as well as remixes for DJ Zinc and Katy B's single "Easy Please Me", he released his first album on the Rinse Recordings label. In 2015, he established the supergroup with fellow bassline and UK garage artists DJ Q and Flava D. He released one more solo single that same year, "Shotta", which ''Mixmag'' praised as being reminiscent to his earliest work. Butterz
Butterz is an independent record label based in London that specializes in grime music. It was founded by DJs and music producers Elijah and Skilliam. The label helped bring grime instrumentals to the forefront of the electronic music scene, and was ranked 10th in '' Fact's'' "The 10 Best Record Labels of 2011". History Butterz began as a blog in 2007, run by Elijah and Skilliam. The blog consisted of downloads, interviews and features with grime musicians. The label was formed in March 2010 and has since released grime music both digitally and on vinyl, from artists including Terror Danjah, Newham Generals, Royal-T, DJ Q, Flava D Swindle, Champion, P Money and Trim. In 2010 it was announced that the blog was ending so as to focus solely on the label. Flava D
Danielle Gooding, professionally known as Flava D, is an English UK garage, grime and bassline DJ and music producer. She was previously signed to the Butterz record label and is now signed to Hospital Records . She is one third of the UK garage act TQD, alongside fellow producers Royal-T and DJ Q. Early life Gooding spent her childhood moving between Birmingham and Bournemouth and grew up listening to early popular UK garage releases such as DJ EZ's ''Pure Garage'' mix CDs, as well as local pirate radio stations. Whilst working in a record shop from the ages of 14 to 16, her boss, who was a DJ, encouraged her to start producing music on Ableton. It plays garage, grime, dubstep, house, jungle, UK funky and other dance music genres popular in the United Kingdom. The station was founded in 1994 and operated as a pirate radio station until it was awarded a broadcast licence in June 2010. Rinse FM has been described as London's biggest pirate radio station. DJ Q
Shollen Quarshie (born 1985), known by his stage name DJ Q, is a DJ and record producer from Huddersfield, England. He forms part of the group TQD alongside Flava D and Royal-T. Early life DJ Q’s musical journey started from a young age at The Nook in Holmfirth, listening to music played by his parents. It was at the age of 12 when 'Q' first got involved with the UK garage scene, buying vinyl and tape packs. When his vinyl collection grew larger Q finally got a pair of record decks in his bedroom. After teaching himself to mix, Q started to get bookings at local parties at the age of 15, before learning to produce music the next year at college.
