Roy Ray
Roy Lee Ray (born July 16, 1939) was a member of the Ohio Senate, serving the 27th district from 1987 to 2001. His district encompassed portions of Akron, Ohio, Akron. In 2001, he resigned and was succeeded by Kevin Coughlin. Ray served as Mayor of Akron from 1980 to 1983. Oliver Ocasek
Oliver Robert Ocasek (November 2, 1925 – June 25, 1999) was an American politician of the Democratic party who served as President of the Ohio State Senate in the 1970s and 1980s. After the Democrats lost their majority in the Senate, Ocasek was replaced as party leader by Harry Meshel. In 1962 and 1968, Ocasek ran for a seat in the United States House of Representatives. Kevin Coughlin
Kevin J. Coughlin (born May 13, 1970) is a former Republican Party (United States), Republican member of the Ohio Senate, who represented the 27th District from 2001 to 2010. He was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1997 until 2000. He served as Clerk of the Stow Municipal Court from 2013 to 2015. Since 2010, he has been President of Lexington Companies, Ltd, a public affairs and investment company. Life and career Coughlin graduated from Woodridge High School in Peninsula, Ohio, in 1988, received a Bachelor of Arts, BA from Bowling Green State University in 1992, and a Master of Public Administration from BGSU in 1994. In 1996, he ran for the Ohio House of Representatives after Representative Wayne Jones (Ohio), Wayne Jones vacated to run for the Ohio Senate. Akron () is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Ohio and is the county seat of Summit County, Ohio, Summit County. Ohio Senate
The Ohio Senate is the upper house of the Ohio General Assembly. The State Senate, which meets in the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, first convened in 1803. Senators are elected for four year terms, staggered every two years such that half of the seats are contested at each election. Even numbered seats and odd numbered seats are contested in separate election years. The president of the Ohio Senate presides over the body when in session, and is currently Matt Huffman. Currently, the Senate consists of 25 Republicans and eight Democrats, with the Republicans controlling three more seats than the 22 required for a supermajority vote. The Great Seal of the State of Ohio is the official insignia of the U.S. state of Ohio. All governmental offices, agencies, and courts in Ohio use variations of the state seal. Its primary feature is a circular coat of arms that depicts a sunrise in Chillicothe, Ohio's first capital, along with symbols of the state's origins. The seal sometimes appears with the state motto, "With God, all things are possible". ''The Cincinnati Post'' was an afternoon daily newspaper published in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. In Northern Kentucky, it was bundled inside a local edition called ''The Kentucky Post''. The ''Post'' was a founding publication and onetime flagship of Scripps-Howard Newspapers, a division of the E. W. Scripps Company.
