Cheri Viswanath
Cheri Viswanath (9 August 1933 â€“ 9 September 2014) was a South indian screenwriter, playwright, lyricist and journalist. Biography Many of his works were written under the pen name Cheri, which is derived from the name of his family Cheriyil in Kollam District in South India. He started his career as a playwright and journalist and was associated with the famous theatre group in South India called Kalanilayam. In a literary career spanning over 45 years, he had written 16 novels, 25 dramas and 19 radio plays and several lyrics for Malayalam movies. His song for the movie Thaalappoly (1977) was the biggest hit of the year. He had written screenplays for 20 feature films, directed by veteran film makers M.Krishnan Nair, Madhu, Crossbelt Mani and M.Mani. Adoor Bhavani
Adoor Bhavani (1927 – 25 October 2009) was an Indian actress in Malayalam cinema, best known for her appearance in the National Award-winning film ''Chemmeen'' (1965), directed by Ramu Kariat. She had acted in about 450 films, including ''Mudiyanaya Puthran'', ''Thulabharam'', Kallichellamma, and ''Anubhavangal Paalichakal''. Her last film was K. Madhu-directed ''Sethurama Iyer CBI''. She was also a stage actress and was associated with popular theatre group KPAC. Bhavani was born in Adoor in Travancore. Her sister, Adoor Pankajam, was also a Malayalam film actress. Adoor Bhavani died on 25 October 2009. Awards and recognitions In 1969, Bhavani won the Kerala state film award for the second best actress for the film Kallichellamma. Raveendran Nair, known by his stage name Poojappura Ravi is an Indian actor, primarily concentrating in Malayalam films doing comedy roles. He was a stage actor and was a part of ''Kalanilyam Drama Vision'', the famous drama institution. He started doing Malayalam films in mid-1970s. K. P. A. C. Sunny (1934–2006) was an Indian actor in Malayalam movies. He acted in more than 400 Malayalam films. He occupied the movie industry for four decades. Background Sunny was born as Sunny D'Cruz in Chavara, Kollam on 18 April 1934. His father's name is Jacob. He completed his education at Chavara English Medium High School and graduated from Fatima Mata National College, Kollam. Aranmula Ponnamma (8 April 1914 – 21 February 2011) was a National Award winning Indian actress known for her roles as mother of the protagonist in numerous films in a career spanning over five decades.
