Raghavan (born 12 December 1941) is an Indian actor who has acted in Malayalam more than 100 films including Telugu and Kannada films. Malayalam actor Jishnu was his son. From early 2000s he is more active on Malayalam and Tamil television serials . Early and personal life Raghavan was born in Taliparamba in Kannur district. eattended Moothedath High School, Kozhikode Guruvayoorappan School, Madhura Gandhigram. After completing higher secondary he worked in Tagore Drama Troupe. He pursued bachelors in Rural Education from Gandhigram Rural Institute. He got his Diploma from Delhi National School of Drama. His first film was ''Kayalkarayil'' in 1968. Taliparamba (also known as Perinchelloor and Lakshmipuram) is a Municipalities of Kerala, Municipality in Taliparamba taluk of Kannur district, Kerala, India. The municipal town spreads over an area of and is inhabited by 44,247 number of people. Etymology The town's name may be derived from "Tali" (plate) and "Parambu" (area or ground), and from the legend of Rajarajeshwara Temple. According to this legend, the Ikshvaku King Mandhata, Maandhatha offered great penance to Shiva who in return gifted him with a Lingam, Shiva Linga and instructed him to place it at a site where there had never been a cremation ground. He found a space the size of a plate in Perinchelloor, and hence the name Taliparamba became attached to the area. Lakshmipuram, a previous name for the city, means place of prosperity. ''Ammayenna Sthree'' is a 1970 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan. The film stars Prem Nazir, Sathyan, K. R. Vijaya and Ragini. The film has musical score by A. M. Rajah.
