Route 10 () is a trunk route in the Hong Kong Strategic Route and Exit Number System. It is a dual carriageway with three lanes in each direction, consisting of the Kong Sham Western Highway (formerly Deep Bay Link) and the Shenzhen Bay Bridge of the Hong Kong–Shenzhen Western Corridor, connecting the Yuen Long Highway ( Route 9) in Lam Tei to Shenzhen via border checkpoint Shenzhen Bay Port. The trunk route is the only one in Hong Kong that terminates at a border crossing (and is partly built within the area of Shenzhen Municipality). At one stage, the Hong Kong Government had proposed to build the Yuen Long-Lantau and the Lantau- Hong Kong Island sections of Route 10. Deep Bay is a bay between Yuen Long District, in the New Territories, Hong Kong and the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province. It is otherwise known as Hau Hoi Wan () in Hong Kong, and Shenzhen Bay () in Mainland China. Name The local Cantonese name of the bay is Hau Hoi Wan (), which means the ''back (sea) bay''. Yuen Long District
Yuen Long District (formerly romanised as Un Long) is one of the districts of Hong Kong. The River Trade Terminal (RTT) is the only container terminal in Hong Kong for river cargo. The operator is known as River Trade Terminal Company Limited. North Lantau Highway
North Lantau Highway is an expressway forming part of Hong Kong's Route 8, linking Hong Kong International Airport and Lantau Island with the rest of the territory. The road has three lanes in each direction for its entire length with full-width hard shoulders for emergencies and breakdowns. The speed limit is for most of its length, the highest of any road in Hong Kong. North Lantau Highway is in length, beginning at Airport Road on Chek Lap Kok. The road then crosses onto Lantau Island and bypasses Tung Chung New Town.
