Aurélien Rougerie
Aurélien Rougerie (born 26 September 1980) is a French former rugby union player who played on the wing and center for France and ASM Clermont Auvergne in the French Top 14 for his entire 19-year career. Career Rougerie was born in Beaumont, Puy-de-Dôme. His father, Jacques Rougerie, was also a French international, playing at loosehead prop while his mother was an international at basketball (107 caps). France Rougerie debuted with the French national team against South Africa in 2001. He counts 76 caps for France scoring 23 tries. He played his last game for France in 2012 against Italy. Rougerie was part of the French team which reached the World Cup final in 2011 when he set up Thierry Dusautoir's try. Rougerie also captained the French Barbarians on two occasions, winning against Samoa in 2013 at the Stade Marcel Michelin and against Australia in October 2016 (19-11). Jacques Rougerie (born 11 July 1945 in Paris) is a French Architect and Oceanographer who specialises in underwater habitats. MAD Architects has revealed its design proposal for the Aquatic Centre for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Envisioning the sports facility as an urban public artwork, displaying the beauty and hope of Paris, the proposal was created in collaboration with three French architectural studios, Jacques Rougerie Architecture, Atelier Phileas Architecture, and Apma Architecture. Michel Rougerie
Michel Rougerie (21 April 1950 in Montreuil-sous-Bois - 31 May 1981 in Rijeka) was a French professional motorcycle racer. He competed in the Grand Prix road racing world championships from 1972 to 1981. His best year was in 1975 when he won two races and finished in second place in the 250cc world championship behind his Harley-Davidson team-mate Walter Villa. Rougerie actually scored more points than Villa that season, but because only the best six results of the season were counted, he lost the championship. He was killed in 1981 because he was hit by another racer while competing at the Yugoslavian Grand Prix. Jacques Rougerie (21 June 1945 – 12 August 2023) was a French international rugby union player. He was the father of another French international rugby union player, Aurélien Rougerie. Rougerie played as a Prop or Hooker for AS Montferrand. He made his only test appearance for France on 27 October 1973 against Japan. He was a dentist in Clermont-Ferrand. Jacques Rougerie died on 12 August 2023, at the age of 78.
