Rosslyn is a coastal town and locality in the Livingstone Shire, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Rosslyn had a population of 574 people. Geography Historically, the town of Rosslyn developed along the beaches on either side of Statue Rock, a headland into the Coral Sea. However, when locality boundaries were formalised, Statue Rock was placed on the boundary of the locality of Lammermoor to the west and the locality of Rosslyn to the east. The northern boundary of the locality is coastal commencing at Statue Rock along the beach at Statue Bay (where the residential development is located) to Rosslyn Head (where the Rosslyn Bay Boat Harbour has been developed). The eastern boundary of the locality is also coastal, commencing at Rosslyn Head, along Kemp Beach to Bluff Point. The Scenic Highway runs from south to north-west through the locality. The Shire of Livingstone is a local government area located in the Capricornia region of Central Queensland, Queensland, Australia, to the immediate north and east of the regional city of Rockhampton. The shire, administered from the coastal town of Yeppoon, covers an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 2008, when it amalgamated with several other councils to become the Rockhampton Region. The Shire was re-established on 1 January 2014 following a successful de-amalgamation referendum in 2013. Industry within the shire is diverse. Timber is harvested from extensive pine plantations near Byfield in the north. Significant pineapple production takes place within the shire, as well as other agricultural crops. Taranganba is a town and locality in the Livingstone Shire, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Taranganba had a population of 2,276 people. Geography Taranganba is set back from ''Keppel Bay'' on a low broad hill that overlooks Cooee Bay and Yeppoon. It is centrally located on the Capricorn Coast, south of Yeppoon, and north of Emu Park. Taranganba is often regarded as a suburb of the town of Yeppoon. Like its neighbouring suburb Cooee Bay, Taranganba is separated from Yeppoon by '' Ross Creek''. Capricorn Coast National Park
Capricorn Coast is a national park in the Shire of Livingstone, Queensland, Australia. Geography The park is 535 km northwest of Brisbane. It covers about 114 hectares, and is divided into five sections: Vallis Park, Rosslyn Head, Double Head, Bluff Point, and Pinnacle Point. The five sections were amalgamated into a single national park in 1994. The average elevation of the terrain is 34 meters. The Scenic Highway is a coastal highway from Yeppoon to Emu Park, both on the Capricorn Coast in the Shire of Livingstone, Queensland, Australia. Route The highway commences at a roundabout near the southern boundary of Yeppoon, which connects to the (northern) main road from Rockhampton ( Yeppoon Road) and the coastal road to the northern part of Yeppoon (Appleton Drive) It passes from Yeppoon through Cooee Bay, Lammermoor, Rosslyn, Mulambin, Causeway Lake and Kinka Beach to Emu Park. After proceeding south-east for about 350 metres it crosses Ross Creek and passes between Cooee Bay (to the east) and Taranganba (to the west) It then proceeds through Lammermoor, running beside the beach for about 1 km before reaching Rosslyn.
