Rosette is an unincorporated ranching community in northwestern Box Elder County, Utah, United States. Description Rosette is located about west of Park Valley, south of the Raft River Mountains. The community was named by the town's first postmaster, Jonathan Campbell, in 1871. The name refers to the wild roses in the area. The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. Raft River Mountains
The Raft River Mountains are a mountain range in northern Box Elder County, Utah, United States. The mountains are located in the Raft River Division of the Minidoka Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest. The highest point is Bull Mountain, near the Dunn Benchmark, at , and the ghost town of Yost is on the north-central slopes. Tributaries of the Raft River drain the northern slopes of the range to the Snake River then Columbia River and Pacific Ocean, while the southern slopes drain to the Great Salt Lake. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.
