Rosemont, formerly River Road, is a Chicago "L" station at the intersection of River Road and I-190 in the suburb of Rosemont, Illinois. It is located in the median of I-190 with one island platform serving two tracks, northwest of The Loop. Trains are scheduled to depart from Rosemont every 2–7 minutes during rush-hour periods, and take about 36 minutes to travel to the Loop. The station is 7 blocks east and 2 blocks north of O'Hare International Airport. Rosemont is the busiest station outside the city limits of Chicago, with 2,090,977 passenger entries in 2014. History The Rosemont station opened on February 27, 1983, as the terminus of an extension of the West-Northwest route from its former terminal at . It was built to a design by the architectural firm Murphy/Jahn. The station served as the temporary terminal for the West-Northwest route until the terminal at opened a year later. Rosemont station is a Montreal Metro station in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and serves the Orange Line. The station opened on October 14, 1966, as part of the original network of the Metro. Overview The station, designed by Duplessis, Labelle et Derome, is a normal side platform station built into a tunnel. It has a ticket barrier at transept level that leads to a single entrance, adjacent to a bus loop and to a municipal parking lot. In 2015, work began to make the station accessible at a cost of around $10m. This work was completed in January 2017, following the installation of three elevators. Rosemont station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. It is located at Airdale Road and Montrose Avenues and is served by most Paoli/Thorndale Line trains. The station was originally built by the Pennsylvania Railroad between 1863 and 1871 (appears on 1871 atlas). As a modern SEPTA station, the building is also occupied by a real estate broker's office and underwent renovations for this use in 1983. The ticket office at this station is open weekdays 6:00 AM to 10:55 AM excluding holidays. There are 112 parking spaces at the station. This station is 10.9 track miles from Philadelphia's Suburban Station. In 2017, the average total weekday boardings at this station was 323, and the average total weekday alightings was 321.
