Rosangela Abreu Crespo (born June 30, 1983) is a Dominican-born Puerto Rican singer who participated as a contestant in the second season of Objetivo Fama, and the second season of Latin American Idol. Musical career In 2005, Rosangela auditioned for a spot on the second season of the Puerto Rican reality/talent show ''Objetivo Fama''. Rosangela reached the semi-finals before being eliminated. Shortly after her departure from the show, Puerto Rican salsa singer, Gilberto Santa Rosa, approached Rosangela to record a duet with him. The song, titled "Hablando Claro", was featured in Santa Rosa's 2006 album, ''Directo al Corazón''. ''Objetivo Fama'' (sometimes abbreviated as ''OF'', Spanish for ''Target: Fame'') is a Puerto Rican singing talent contest that aired for over six years on WLII, the Univision outlet in Puerto Rico; and on Telefutura in the mainland United States. It is produced by Ender Vega and ''Soraya Sánchez'' ES Television. The program was loosely inspired by the late Puerto Rican singing talent contest and variety show, Voces en Función, and the Spanish reality show, Operación Triunfo. Twenty or so contestants are "bunkered" in a studio/house where they will live together for several months while participating in a weekly show where one of them is eliminated, en route to find a "young star". The winner of the show gets a record deal from Univision Music Group. The show aired for six years, starting in 2004, and finishing in 2009. ''Latin American Idol'' was the Hispanic American edition of the popular British franchise of '' Idols'', well known for its American version ''American Idol''. The show aimed to discover the pop idol of the Hispanic American region. The show was filmed in Buenos Aires and was transmitted to over 23 nations in the region via the Sony Entertainment Television network. Premise ''Latin American Idol'' was filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and aired throughout Latin America with the exception of Brazil, which has its own version called ''Ídolos Brazil'', premiered in 2006. The second season of ''Objetivo Fama'' began in 2005. This season the judges are Roberto Sueiro, Hilda Ramos, and Fernando Allende. The show was hosted by Mexican actor/singer Victor Noriega and Puerto Rican celebrity Yizette Cifredo. Auditions Final Cutdown Out of each audition, a group of semi-finalists were selected. The second season of ''Latin American Idol'' premiered on June 13, 2007, and continued until September 27, 2007, when it was won by Guatemalan born Carlos Peña. Auditions were held in Caracas, Bogotá, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires in the spring of 2007. The concerts began on July in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the host country. For this season the judge Elizabeth Meza quit, and the Mexican singer Mimi was hired as the new ''Latin American Idol'' judge. Son by Four is a latin music group from Puerto Rico, well known for their English U.S. pop hit " The Purest of Pain (A Puro Dolor)". The group is now independent, as they founded their own label SB4 Music Group in 2003. Son by Four was created by Panamanian producer and songwriter Omar Alfanno and their members Ángel López, Pedro Quiles, and brothers Javier Montes and Jorge Montes. Currently, the band is formed by the Montes brothers, Javi and Jorge. Music career In 1998, the group released two songs produced by Omar Alfanno, "No Hay Razón" and "Nada".
