Objetivo Fama (season 2)
The second season of ''Objetivo Fama'' began in 2005. This season the judges are Roberto Sueiro, Hilda Ramos, and Fernando Allende. The show was hosted by Mexican actor/singer Victor Noriega and Puerto Rican celebrity Yizette Cifredo. Auditions Final Cutdown Out of each audition, a group of semi-finalists were selected. This was the first time that international contestants participated in the contest. The 20 selected contestants were: * Age was taken at the beginning of the contest (2007) Controversies Some controversies that surfaced during the season. * During the show, contestant Carlos Rubén Salazar fell in love with one of the dancers of the shows. Víctor Noriega
Víctor Noriega (; born Víctor Enrique Noriega Hernandez May 10, 1972) is a Mexican actor, singer and model. Biography Born in Mexico City, he started his career as a model. He then pursued a BA in Communications. At the same time he auditioned for a musical group and became part of Garibaldi from 1989 to 1998, in which he was one of the eight original members. The group reunited in 1999 launching a double CD. He then started his acting career in Mexican soap operas. Later on he mixed his career as a host for several TV shows for Univision and TeleFutura. He recorded an album as solo artist, but it was never released. However he continues to pursue his dream of recording and releasing a CD as a solo artist in the near future. Music I. Latin Grammy
The Latin Grammy Awards are an award by The Latin Recording Academy to recognize outstanding achievement in the Latin music industry. The Latin Grammy honors works recorded in Spanish or Portuguese from anywhere around the world that has been released in Ibero-America. Submissions of products recorded in languages, dialects or idiomatic expressions recognized in Ibero America, such as Catalan, Basque, Galician, Valencian, Nahuatl, Guarani, Quechua or Mayan may be accepted by a majority vote. Latin American Idol
''Latin American Idol'' was the Hispanic American edition of the popular British franchise of '' Idols'', well known for its American version ''American Idol''. The show aimed to discover the pop idol of the Hispanic American region. The show was filmed in Buenos Aires and was transmitted to over 23 nations in the region via the Sony Entertainment Television network. Premise ''Latin American Idol'' was filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and aired throughout Latin America with the exception of Brazil, which has its own version called ''Ídolos Brazil'', premiered in 2006. Gilberto Santa Rosa
Gilberto Santa Rosa Cortés, nicknamed "El Caballero de la Salsa" (The Gentleman of Salsa) (born August 21, 1962), is a Puerto Rican bandleader and singer of salsa and bolero. He is a six time Grammy Award winner and has sold over three million records in the United States and Puerto Rico. Santa Rosa also starred in a comedy. Early years Santa Rosa was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Here he received his primary and secondary education and became interested in music. He took part in his first concert while a teenager and in 1976, he made his recording debut as a backup singer with the Mario Ortiz Orchestra; soon afterwards he was recruited by La Grande Orchestra, where he became the lead singer. Salsa Music
Salsa music is a style of Latin American music. Because most of the basic musical components predate the labeling of salsa, there have been many controversies regarding its origin. Most songs considered as salsa are primarily based on son montuno, with elements of Mambo (music), mambo, Latin jazz, Bomba (Puerto Rico), bomba, plena and guaracha. All of these elements are adapted to fit the basic son montuno template when performed within the context of salsa. Originally the name salsa was used to label commercially several styles of Latin dance music, but nowadays it is considered a musical style on its own and one of the staples of Latin American culture. Rosangela Abreu Crespo (born June 30, 1983) is a Dominican-born Puerto Rican singer who participated as a contestant in the second season of Objetivo Fama, and the second season of Latin American Idol. Musical career In 2005, Rosangela auditioned for a spot on the second season of the Puerto Rican reality/talent show ''Objetivo Fama''. Rosangela reached the semi-finals before being eliminated. The White House is the official residence and workplace of the president of the United States. Mariachi
Mariachi (, , ) is a genre of regional Mexican music that dates back to at least the 18th century, evolving over time in the countryside of various regions of western Mexico. The usual mariachi group today consists of as many as eight violins, two trumpets and at least one guitar, including a high-pitched vihuela and an acoustic bass guitar called a guitarrón, and all players taking turns singing lead and doing backup vocals.
