Rosana Sullivan
Rosana Sullivan is an American director, storyboard artist, writer, and executive producer. Since 2011, she has worked for Pixar Animation Studios. In 2019 she wrote and directed her first animated short film, ''Kitbull'', for which she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 92nd Academy Awards. Early life and education Rosana Sullivan was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and grew up in Texas. She has one brother. When she was in high school at age 16, her father, a university professor of biology, accepted a new job at the University of San Francisco and the family relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. Sullivan initially studied for a career as a veterinarian, enrolling at the University of San Francisco as a biology major. WSET-TV (channel 13) is a television station licensed to Lynchburg, Virginia, United States, serving as the ABC affiliate for the Roanoke–Lynchburg market. The station is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, and has studios on Langhorne Road in Lynchburg; its transmitter is located atop Thaxton Mountain, near Thaxton, Virginia. ''SparkShorts'' is a series of American independent animated short films produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It consists of a program in which Pixar's employees are given six months and limited budgets to develop animated short films that were originally released on Pixar's YouTube channel, and later on Disney+. ''Purl'', ''Smash and Grab'' and '' Kitbull'', the first three shorts of the ''SparkShorts'' program, were released at SIGGRAPH on August 14, 2018, before having a limited release at El Capitan Theater on January 8, 2019. ''Purl'' was officially released on February 4, 2019, on YouTube while ''Smash and Grab'' and ''Kitbull'' were released on February 11 and 18, respectively. Traditional animation (or classical animation, cel animation, or hand-drawn animation) is an animation technique in which each frame is drawn by hand. The technique was the dominant form of animation in cinema until computer animation.
